Mr Slater, who is from Oswaldtwistle close to Blackburn in the county of Lancashire, has not been found since Monday morning in Tenerife.

Ever since he vanished, there have been lots of rumors and conspiracy theories going around on the internet. People on social media sites like TikTok and Facebook have been guessing and talking about what might have happened to him.

However, PH Build, the company where Mr. Slater works as an apprentice bricklayer, stated that the teenager has been depicted inaccurately on the internet.

The company posted on Facebook: "Jay is still not found!

We have chosen to delete our previous post because of the abundance of critical remarks and unfounded rumors.

Jay has been part of our team since he graduated from school and everyone here really likes him. We consider him a valuable member of our group and we support him in everything he does.

The image being portrayed of him is completely false. The truth is that he is a 19-year-old boy who has disappeared in a different country. He should be returned to his home. Stay strong, Jay, we are all hoping for your safe return.

The family of the 19-year-old have traveled to the island of Spain to assist authorities and a group of rescuers in looking for him.

A fundraiser on GoFundMe has been created by a friend of Mr. Slater to collect funds for the search effort. The fundraiser has already raised over £30,000.

Over the weekend, Debbie Duncan, the mother of the individual, expressed her gratitude to all the generous donors. She mentioned that they have not used any of the donated funds yet and are currently paying for expenses like the trip to Tenerife and accommodation out of their own pocket.

The search location has been limited.

On Sunday, authorities looking for Mr. Slater were seen inspecting two buildings at the bottom of a deep valley in Rural de Teno Park, which is where his phone was last detected before it lost power.

After days of searching in the mountain village of Masca and the surrounding area, it seemed that all efforts were concentrated on just one area.

Those who were searching on the seventh day of the hunt for Mr. Slater were observed inspecting blue containers outside of one of the little structures.
