Channel 4 A Place In The Sun's Jasmine Harman has shared her tearful husband's heartache after a tragic family death. Jasmine shared a heartbreaking clip on Instagram, showing the Channel 4 star's husband detailing the sudden death of his sister.

The property expert, 47, posted a video of Jon, her camera operator husband, after sister Joanne died suddenly. She passed away seven years ago following a cardiac arrest.

Jon is now promoting awareness for the CRY charity, which helps with screening for cardiac risk in young people. He said : "I support CRY in memory of my amazing sister, Joanne White. "She passed away suddenly in the night in 2016, from sudden cardiac death.

"Jo was an amazing mother, daughter, auntie, wife and sister. The reason I support CRY is they were there for her family when she was taken so suddenly, offering us guidance and immediate screening. CRY continue to support us with yearly heart screenings of myself and some of Jo's family."

"Any funds raised will continue to support the amazing work CRY do in their research, the screening of young people for potential heart problems and raising awareness of young, unexplained cardiac deaths," he said. "On behalf of Jo, or anyone tragically affected by sudden cardiac death, thank you for all that you do."

Jasmine and Jon – who now share children Albion and Joy – tied the knot on 19 June 2009 after dating for five years. They met while working on A Place in the Sun, but TV star Jasmine previously admitted that their relationship was a "slow burner."

"It wasn't love at first sight, but a slow burner," the TV property expert said previously. She added to the Daily Express: "We definitely weren't each other's types. We basically got thrown together in this amazing experience."
