Liverpool have not brought in any new players this summer, but they will have a hectic end to the transfer window as the deadline approaches.

Arne Slot had a great beginning as Liverpool's latest manager after Jurgen Klopp left, leading the team to a 2-0 victory against newly promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Slot mentioned that he is still searching for new players to add to the team, but he also mentioned that he is satisfied with the players he currently has.

In an interview with TNT Sports, the manager discussed the criticism about the team's lack of new signings. He mentioned that they already have a lot of talented players and are open to adding more if the right opportunity arises.

A player who has decided not to join the club is Martin Zubimendi. The midfielder from Real Sociedad has rejected Liverpool's offer and chosen to remain with his childhood team, whom he has been with since he was 12 years old. Despite being offered three times his current salary by Liverpool, Zubimendi has decided to stay loyal to his boyhood club. This information was reported by Mundo Deportivo.

"I have mentioned multiple times that our team is very powerful, and it is difficult to find players who can contribute. Zubimendi was one such player, but he ultimately chose not to join us. Despite this, we are continuing with the players we currently have," Slot explained. "We are in a favorable position, and behind the scenes, our sporting director Richard Hughes is working hard to bolster our squad. He did everything he could, but unfortunately the player chose not to join us."

There have been rumors going around that Jarrad Branthwaite might be moving from Everton to Liverpool. Bookies have also made Liverpool the unexpected favorites to sign the talented defender from England.

Although it is improbable that Everton will sell their top player to their local rivals, they are currently searching for a purchaser who is willing to meet their asking price of £70m after Manchester United decided not to proceed with the deal. Liverpool is one of the few teams with the financial capability to meet these demands. Nonetheless, there has been no communication with Liverpool regarding a potential transfer, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool might need to find a new defender since Joe Gomez wasn't included in the squad for the game against Ipswich. Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, Fulham, and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing the versatile center-back. Newcastle United could also be a potential contender if they can't secure their top choice, Marc Guehi.

There is speculation that former Everton winger Anthony Gordon, who now plays for Newcastle, could potentially join Liverpool. However, at 23 years old, it seems unlikely that this transfer will actually take place despite the rumors circulating throughout the summer.

It's highly likely that Bobby Clark will leave Anfield soon as he has reached an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg for a five-year contract. The 19-year-old is expected to transfer to Austria in a deal worth £10m.

Valencia is interested in signing goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, but reports indicate that he will most likely be sent out on loan if he joins the team. Bournemouth is a possible destination for the 23-year-old, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. However, Valencia is holding firm on their asking price of £34m, which could be a hurdle in negotiations.

No matter what, Slot is confident in the team he has. He believes Jurgen Klopp left behind a strong team and they are only improving from there. The team won a trophy last season, so Slot is excited for the challenges ahead. He doesn't agree with the idea that not adding new players makes a team weaker.

And Slot debunked rumors last week that Manchester City was looking to acquire winger Luis Diaz.

"Luis Diaz? He's definitely staying with us. I'm really impressed by his performance in the last week, he's made a significant impact on Liverpool," he explained. "I won't discuss contracts here, but I can confirm that they will be part of the team tomorrow. Everyone is healthy."

The boss declined to provide any information regarding talks about contracts with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk.
