At ages 21 and 22, these individuals have become victorious in two out of the past three major tennis tournaments. Whoever wins the semi-final of the French Open on Friday will have a higher likelihood of winning the championship title on Sunday.

They have faced each other on the court eight times, with each winning four games, and their most impressive match was a thrilling five-set US Open quarter-final in 2022. They have been evenly matched and it's difficult to say who holds the upper hand.

Due to Novak Djokovic's injury, he could miss Wimbledon due to a torn meniscus in his right knee. This situation creates an opportunity for players like Sinner, who has taken control of the world No.1 position from Djokovic, and Alcaraz, who is quickly ascending to the No.2 position depending on his performance during the remaining days in Paris. These players may have a chance to dominate the rest of the year in tennis.

Although faced with a new and determined Djokovic, Alcaraz was completely confident in taking on the most challenging opponent in the current sport.

After defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-final, the tennis player expressed his views on the upcoming match against Jannik. He admitted that competing against Jannik is the toughest challenge he faces. Despite this, he also mentioned how he enjoys participating in such matches, as they provide him with an opportunity to showcase his skills and overcome tough challenges.

Both Sinner and Alcaraz have recently defeated Djokovic on the biggest stage. They won against him in their last two Grand Slam finals, which took place in New York and Wimbledon respectively.

Djokovic's downfall, along with Sinner's own victory over Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter-finals, has elevated him to the top spot in the world rankings. This achievement marks the 29th time a male tennis player has accomplished this feat since the rankings were established.

He stated that achieving the accolade of being the number one player is a dream come true for all athletes. He also expressed his disappointment that Novak retired during the game and wished him a fast recovery.

For a while now, people have been talking about who might take over from the top three tennis players - Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal.

Players such as Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Daniil Medvedev have been discussed as potential inheritors. Out of these three contenders, Medvedev is the sole owner of a Grand Slam title.

Tsitsipas was extremely complementary after his defeat with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-4.

"I thought I could confront Carlos today and potentially perform differently than usual," he expressed. "However, the youngster is exceptionally skilled. I can only offer him my congratulations since he's playing extraordinarily well."

I have given my all on the court and tried everything possible. I just need to find a solution to this. I hope he does well because playing against him makes me realize how much more I have to improve my tennis game.

It is still uncertain whether Djokovic, who is now 37 years old, can make a comeback and go up against the young players once more this summer. He came very close to winning last year's Wimbledon final, but can he do it again?
