Old dramas from Strictly Come Dancing are coming up again as the TV show faces a big problem – its most controversial situation in two decades.

At the beginning of this month, Graziano Di Prima was removed from the show because of how he treated Zara McDermott during rehearsals. Other past contestants, like Will Bayley, have also shared stories about their own bad experiences.

The claims made by the latter brought host Janette Manrara of It Takes Two into the controversy, to which the dancer has since responded. In a recent interview, Bayley alleged that an order given by Manrara, resulting in a significant injury, happened because the dancer was feeling pressured by the show's producers.

A representative from BBC informed The Independent that they have established procedures in place to handle injuries, ensuring that contestants are given the appropriate treatment and support when needed.

Another "concern" raised by former 2014 contestant Steve Backshall has resurfaced on social media amidst the scandal. It is reported that the adventurer felt he was "harassed" by former professional dancer Ola Jordan, whom The Independent has reached out to for a statement.

Here are the most recent developments of the controversy as it continues to evolve...

Ex-Strictly dancer James Jordan seems to be making fun of explorer Steve Backshall's old claims about his wife, Ola Jordan.

Backshall and Ola were dancing partners in 2014, and at that time, it was mentioned that he had expressed worries about their practice sessions to the production team, which resulted in them being assigned a chaperone.

Bosses Thinking About Cutting Five Dancers

According to reports, the producers of Strictly are thinking about getting rid of five of the dancers who have been on the show for a long time because of the scandal that has been causing problems for the show.

Last month, the list of professionals was revealed and Giovanni Pernice was not included. This was due to a controversy involving him and Amanda Abbington that occurred off-screen.

Several weeks passed before Graziano Di Prima was let go from the show, after confessing to physically striking Zara McDermott during rehearsals in the previous season.

MailOnline is saying that the people in charge of the show are thinking about adding some new dancers to the lineup next year. They believe that some of the dancers who have been on the show for a long time are acting like they deserve special treatment and can't be replaced.

Discover which dancers will be coming back for the upcoming season by checking out the list below:

Janette Manrara Responds To Will Bayley's Statement

Former Strictly pro dancer Janette Manrara, who now hosts the spin-off show It Takes Two, has responded to statements made by her past dance partner, Paralympian Will Bayley.

Bayley suffered a serious knee injury that had a big impact on his life during a dance routine. Manrara asked him to try the jump again because she thought his first attempt was not good enough. Although Bayley didn't hold any grudges against Manrara, he believed that the show's producers were to blame for putting too much pressure on the dancers.
