‘Like coming home’: Jadon Sancho completes loan move to Dortmund

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho expressed his excitement about playing with joy on his face following his loan move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old faced exile from the first team of United after publicly criticizing the manager, Erik ten Hag. Sancho had not been picked for the squad that suffered a defeat against Arsenal in September.

The football team from the Bundesliga plans on giving a sum of €4m (£3.4m) as part of the cost for borrowing Sancho. In addition, they will also pay some of the player's wages. Sancho, who played for four years with Dortmund beginning in 2017 prior to being recruited by United, commented: "As soon as I stepped into the locker room, I felt like I was returning home. I have a deep understanding of this club, I have always been quite attached to the supporters, and I have maintained a connection with those in charge."

"I am eagerly looking forward to meeting my fellow team members once again, stepping onto the field, playing football with a happy expression, providing assists, scoring goals, and aiding the team in securing a spot in the Champions League."

Sebastian Kehl, the sports director of BVB, expressed his excitement towards Jadon's return to the team. According to him, Jadon has the ability to make a significant impact on the team. Having previously played for the club, Jadon is familiar with the city, Signal Iduna Park, the fans and the club.

Although he hasn't participated in any official matches lately, we are confident that he will quickly adjust to our team again, perform at his best level, and contribute to our season goals with his unique skills.

Dortmund's performance this season has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. They managed to ace a tough Champions League group, beating out Paris St-Germain, Newcastle, and Milan. However, they've struggled to keep up with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, currently sitting in fifth place and trailing the leaders (Leverkusen) by a solid 15 points. This weekend, Dortmund is set to take on Darmstadt away as the Bundesliga restarts on Friday.
