Jadon Sancho update: Dortmund want to keep Man Utd winger

Borussia Dortmund intends to retain Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan as a winger, for the upcoming season.

In January, Sancho went back to Dortmund as there was a disagreement between him and Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag in September.

The football player from England was left out of the United squad because he refused to say sorry for his comment on social media regarding Ten Hag's statement about his unsatisfactory training performances.

Sancho has played in 10 games since he came back to Germany. He scored his first goal on Saturday when they won 2-1 against Werder Bremen. Last night, he was able to score the first goal for Dortmund in their match against PSV Eindhoven. This helped them secure a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Sancho has a contract with United that ends in 2026, but he could potentially extend it for an extra year.

Before, people thought that the costs of bringing Sancho back to Dortmund permanently might be too expensive.

The football club, currently ranked fourth in the Bundesliga, is competing with the Premier League for a fifth Champions League position for the upcoming season. Despite this, the team is determined to explore all possibilities to retain Sancho on their roster until 2024-25.
