Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day, following three tough years at Old Trafford.

Although the English winger wasn't in the starting lineup for the match against Bournemouth on Sunday, he quickly made his presence felt after coming on as a substitute. He caused trouble on the left side of the pitch and assisted Christopher Nkunku, who netted the winning goal in the 86th minute.

Following the match, Sancho shared a post on Instagram to commemorate the team's victory, writing: "Thrilled to have made my debut for Chelsea and to cap it off with a win!"

Sancho's previous captain, Fernandes, was among those who showed their encouragement in the comments. The Portuguese star responded, saying, "What a player you are. Keep smiling!"

In a post-match interview, Sancho, who received the player of the match award, expressed to Sky Sports: "Starting with, it’s incredible to have my first game for Chelsea. I’m really thankful to be back on the pitch."

"The team performed exceptionally, and we're pleased to have secured three points. I've put in a lot of effort to reach this point, and I'm delighted that I finally got my opportunity."

"I wrapped up last season on a high note by participating in the Champions League. As I entered this new season, I aimed for a strong beginning, and I'm pleased with how things are going."

"I really want to express my gratitude to the staff and my teammates. From the moment I arrived, they welcomed me warmly, and I’m thrilled to feel so at ease here."

After witnessing the decline of the Red Devils' career following a public dispute with Erik ten Hag, Blues manager Enzo Maresca expressed his desire to help the 24-year-old regain his former excellence.

"I get the sense that Jadon is someone who really thrives on affection," Maresca commented after the match.

"This is what crossed my mind when I talked to him before he came on board. He also has a strong eagerness to demonstrate what kind of player he really is."

"To me, the most important thing is that he simply enjoys playing football. That's why they take to the field—to have fun and find joy in the game. When they're happy and loving what they do, their talent will shine through, and they'll achieve great things."
