Cheshire Police announced that on the night of Wednesday, December 27, they received a report of a burglary in the town of Chelford, located near Knutsford. The call was made at approximately 9:50pm.

The person who made the call stated that some things had been taken without permission. The police went to the location with the help of their dogs and helicopter. They searched the nearby vicinity, but they couldn't find any evidence of the individuals who committed the theft.

Currently, there have not been any individuals detained and the investigation is still in progress.

Premier League players have unfortunately been targeted by burglars before. It happened to former City defender, Joao Cancelo, last year and Raheem Sterling experienced a similar attack when he was in Qatar with the England squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Guardiola acknowledged that such incidents are now commonplace and shared his relief that nobody suffered any injuries.
