That's everything from my side for now, and with David Hytner's report included, I'll wrap things up. Thank you for being here!
Ruben Amorim approaches the Sky commentators, including Roy Keane. He communicates in a straightforward and clear manner. "This league is quite challenging."
"I sensed that my players were overthinking during the match. You could just feel it in the atmosphere."
"It was a challenging game for us. We gave away possession carelessly, even when there wasn’t any pressure. When you begin a match this way and manage to score a goal, it’s essential to maintain control of the ball and dictate the pace of the game. Unfortunately, we’re struggling to do that right now."
"But they made an effort; they truly put in a lot of work. This is something they desire."
By the way, Ed Sheeran jumps into the chat to get friendly with Jamie Redknapp. Just another typical day at the Barclays.
The game didn't stand out much, with United's most exciting moment happening right at the beginning. Amorim gathered his players to show appreciation to the fans who traveled to support them. Ipswich had a good chance to win, but they were thwarted by some outstanding saves from André Onana.
It wasn't the ideal beginning for Ruben Amorim, but it wasn't a total failure either.
90+4 minutes: Muric catches Fernandes' pass. That should wrap it up.
In the 90+3 minute mark, Amad comes alive on the right side, making a strong run into the penalty area. He showcases some stepovers before trying to take a shot, but it's deflected away. Manchester United earns a corner kick.
90+1 min: There are four minutes of stoppage time. Clarke tries to play the ball from the center circle over to the right wing, but he ends up kicking it out of bounds as he struggles to handle the pressure from the approaching Mazraoui.
90 minutes: Hutchinson sends in a cross from the right, but it doesn't create much of a threat.
88 minutes in: The crowd at the home stadium erupts with sound, realizing that they need to rally for one final effort.
87 minutes: The free kick is taken quickly, allowing the substitutes to collaborate. Clarke passes to Chaplin in the box, but Chaplin's shot from about 10 yards lacks both the force and accuracy needed to challenge Onana.
86 minutes: Clarke gets taken down in the middle of the field, earning a free-kick from about 30 yards away. Mason Mount has replaced Garnacho.
85 minutes in: Neither team seems to be finding their rhythm, and real scoring opportunities are hard to come by. Garnacho sends a cross in from the left, but it doesn’t connect with Højlund.
81 minutes: Liam Delap, who had an impressive performance, is being substituted along with Wes Burns. Conor Chaplin and Ali Al-Hamadi are coming on in their place.
80 minutes into the match: Mazraoui is on the field, leading to a stoppage in play.
In the 79th minute, Fernandes prepares to take a shot with Amad beside him. The captain strikes the ball but misses by only a few inches, sending a dipping shot just past the post while Muric dives to his right.
78 minutes: Fernandes earns a free-kick for United right outside the penalty area, creating a good opportunity...
77 minutes into the match: United carefully build up their play until Zirkzee, positioned just outside the penalty area on the right side, takes a shot aimed at the heart of Ipswich's defense.
In the 75th minute, Muric steps in to clear the ball after Zirkzee successfully takes it away from Davis on United's right side. The goalkeeper's kick hits the linesman, who handles the situation with poise.
73 minutes in: Fernandes spots Garnacho on the left. The winger performs some stepovers before sending in a cross, but unfortunately, there’s no teammate to meet it.
71 minutes into the game: Delap skillfully creates some space in the center with a clever flick. He takes off and then sends a shot high over the bar. He’s an exciting player to watch, combining determination with evident skill.
69 minutes in: Ipswich successfully clears a corner, then Mazraoui skillfully brings the ball out from the back. Højlund positions himself to take a shot from just outside the box, but ends up making an inaccurate pass instead of trying for the goal when he really should have taken a shot.
67 minutes into the game: Fernandes delivers a fantastic first-time pass down the left for Rashford to chase after, resulting in a corner kick. Amorim responds by making a bold move, substituting Højlund and Zirkzee in for Eriksen and Rashford.
At the 65-minute mark, Ipswich makes their initial substitutions, bringing on Jack Clarke and Jack Taylor to replace Szmodics and Cajuste.
64 minutes in: Manchester United supporters are chanting Amorim's name, reveling in the thrill of an exciting new connection.
62 minutes: Things have quieted down a bit after the exciting moments at the beginning of the half. United are having a tough time getting into Ipswich's half and maintaining possession there.
59 min: Amad is putting in a lot of effort defensively, following an opponent's run into the United penalty area to intercept a long pass. Playing as a wing-back requires a significant amount of hard work.
57 minutes in: Shaw plays as the center-back on the left, while Dalot remains in the position of left wing-back.
56 minutes in: It's time for some adjustments. Luke Shaw makes his comeback after being out for a while, taking Jonny Evans' place. Casemiro exits the game and Ugarte comes on.
55 minutes: O’Shea puts in a great defensive effort, blocking Fernandes' shot after he combined with Rashford in the box.
At the 54-minute mark, Cajuste comes to Ipswich's rescue during a counterattack by United, making a critical sliding tackle in the box to prevent Garnacho from getting a shot off.
52 minutes in: Delap does a fantastic job of fending off pressure in the middle of the field. He spins and drives forward, then passes it to Burns on the right. A cross comes in, and Delap attempts a back-flick at the near post, but Onana is right there to make the save. The United goalkeeper is proving to be a formidable presence once again, keeping his team in the game with another crucial stop.
For 50 minutes, Casemiro and Eriksen aren't actively asking for the ball while United's defense has possession. At this point, it’s difficult to understand how the away team plans to break through Ipswich's defensive setup.
At the 48-minute mark, Ipswich starts to establish their passing rhythm, and the crowd begins to find its excitement again.
46 minutes: Casemiro sends a great diagonal pass for Dalot to chase down. Fernandes then plays a ball into the box for Garnacho, but his cross from the left is deflected away by Muric. United starts off with a strong offensive push.
United kick off the second half without making any substitutions during halftime.
An email arrives with the subject: "21-Day Cooling Off Period in Contract." Aidan Adair asks, "When is the next flight to Lisbon?"
Tom Hopkins comments on VAR's brief pause in activity: "It's impressive how quickly they handled that small crisis. They really followed the right procedures."
Half-Time Update: Ipswich 1 - Manchester United 1
Ipswich appears to be the stronger and more organized team, and their goal to level the match was well-deserved. Welcome to Manchester, Ruben! (I’m aware this game is taking place at Portman Road.)
In the 45+3 minute mark, Delap clashes with Mazraoui on Ipswich's left side, leading to some tense posturing between the two players.
In the 45+2 minute mark, as we look back at Hutchinson's shot, it appears that the ball might have redirected off Mazraoui's head. This could have contributed to its elevation, making it difficult for Onana to reach it.
45+1 min: That looked painful. Jonny Evans is on the turf after Delap attempts to head the ball and collides with him.
45 minutes: The VAR has returned, and we now have an additional three minutes to play.
Ipswich Equalizes With Manchester United – 1-1
Ipswich is putting pressure on the defense, and now we have an amazing goal! Burns plays the ball to Hutchinson, who is positioned just outside the box with his back to the goal. He quickly turns around and strikes with his left foot, sending the ball curling into the top left corner from around 20 yards away. The home team truly deserves that goal.
40 min: What an incredible save from Onana! A long pass down the left is picked up by Davis, who passes it to Delap in the center. With only the goalkeeper to get past from a short distance, Delap goes for a powerful shot instead of aiming for precision, but the keeper reacts quickly, stretching out his right arm to block the shot and prevent the equalizer.
At the 38-minute mark, the matchup between Tuanzebe and Garnacho is pretty exciting to observe right now. The ex-United defender is closely tracking the winger, not giving him a moment of space.
37 minutes: The television commentators report that a fire alarm has gone off at Stockley Park, which means VAR is temporarily out of service. The referee informs the team captains about this situation.
In the 36th minute, Ipswich appears to pose a greater threat compared to United. However, Fernandes delivers a sharp pass that allows Garnacho to make a run. Unfortunately, he can't shake off his defender to take a shot.
At the 33-minute mark, Leif Davis, the left-back for Ipswich, is on the ground receiving treatment for his right leg. However, he appears to be alright.
32 min: Ipswich has earned another corner, and Davis steps up to take it. He sends the ball to the far post, where it gets headed across the goal. Hutchinson seizes the opportunity for a powerful shot from inside the box, but the defense in red stands strong and blocks it.
In the 30th minute, Fernandes cleverly fakes a nutmeg to escape his defender in the middle of the field. However, the play concludes with Dalot making a cross from the left side that reaches Muric.
