Genial Luis Suárez shows why he’s Inter Miami’s true path to MLS glory

Inter Miami

Inter Miami needs to move from a fancy new team to a legitimate contender for the MLS Cup, which the betting companies anticipate. This change started rapidly in the Florida derby against Orlando City, as demonstrated by a key factor within the first 10 minutes.

Leo Messi's skills may not have been the cause of the home team's quick 2-0 lead, but rather it was Luis Suárez's sharp and precise finishes, who used to play with Messi in Barcelona.

Despite Messi captivating audiences worldwide and bringing prestige to Inter and MLS, it's expected that Suárez will play a pivotal role in securing the championship titles that David Beckham, a club co-owner, eagerly desires. Given the significant investment and resources dedicated to this project, Suárez's exceptional talent is highly valued and anticipated to make a notable impact. Fans will surely marvel at both players' contributions to the team's success.

The final score of the game was 5-0! This is the biggest margin of victory so far in the new rivalry between the teams, and it's also the largest win that the club has ever had. Suárez played a major part in all five goals, scoring two of them and providing the assists for the other three. This impressive performance helped to win over some of his earlier critics amongst the Inter Miami fans.

Messi expressed his delight for Suarez who successfully scored during the game. Despite the circumstances, they remained composed and confident in Suarez's abilities. Messi acknowledged that Suarez has remarkable game-changing skills, which many people are already familiar with. Like a typical Suarez move, he surprised them with unexpected goals and assists that contributed to their victory. Messi shared these thoughts with Apple TV in Spanish.

After starting his second game at home in MLS, Suárez scored his first goal for Inter Miami pink three minutes into the match. He expertly hit the ball into the net from a pass from Julian Gressel. Ten minutes later, Suárez and Gressel completed a slick one-two, resulting in Suárez scoring his second goal for the team. He skillfully maneuvered the bouncing ball before blasting it into the bottom corner of the net.

Half an hour later, Suárez unselfishly refused the opportunity to score three goals. Instead, he passed the ball to Robert Taylor, who easily scored with no defenders around.

In the post-game interview, Gressel praised his teammate's performance and highlighted the third goal as a prime example of his skills. Despite being on the verge of achieving a hat-trick, the player selflessly passed the ball to a teammate, demonstrating his dedication to the team's success. Gressel expressed gratitude for having such a valuable asset on their team.

The goal that completed the hat-trick was almost scored just before halftime, but unfortunately, the assistant referee raised his flag to indicate an offside position after Suarez had gone around the goalkeeper to put the ball into the net.

Certainly, the Miami supporters, most of whom had Messi 10 as opposed to Suárez 9 on their backs, got a complete taste of what Suárez can do during those dynamic initial attacks.

The officials received a lot of complaints from the team players due to some powerful challenges made by the scared Orlando defenders. However, the injury that seemed severe was rapidly and questionably forgotten when the player came back to life and scored the opening goals.

In the first half of the game, there was an incident involving the assistant referee and the Orlando bench which led to the 37-year-old player being led off the field by his teammates during half time. It's important to note that as long as 'Bad Suárez' doesn't make an appearance, this player could be considered the most valuable addition to Inter in terms of on-field performance. This is because he still possesses a strong winning mentality despite his age.

Saurez's arrival from Brazilian club Gremio during the offseason was not well-kept. He was the captain of the club during their successful season, where he scored 24 goals and made 17 assists. Unfortunately, Gremio was just two points shy of winning their first Serie A title since 1996, losing to Palmeiras.

It was obvious that he had a significant impact, much like when he played for Liverpool over ten years ago. Suárez managed to score 31 goals in the Premier League while playing for Brendan Rodgers' team, which was unpopular among fans. Unfortunately, the team came very close to ending Liverpool's already long drought of winning the title in 2014. However, it wasn't until 2020 when Jürgen Klopp took over as manager that the team finally accomplished it.

In Barcelona, with many other talented players around him, Suárez did not need to perform as many extraordinary actions to stand out. However, fans of Barcelona learned firsthand about his impressive abilities when Suárez scored 21 goals for Atletico Madrid in the 2020/2021 season, helping to secure the team's championship victory.

Nevertheless, it was the former Nou Camp group comprising of Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Messi that joined forces to create the fourth goal for Inter during the initial stages of the second half.

In the game, Suárez and Alba combined well with a clever one-two play, resulting in Orlando defender Robin Jansson striking the ball against the crossbar in a last-ditch attempt to clear the way for Alba's shot towards the goal. Fortunately for Messi, he was able to scramble in the rebound for a goal. Shortly after, Suárez delivered a cross from the left wing to an unmarked Messi, who easily headed in the ball for their fifth goal of the match.

Suárez made it clear that Inter Miami will be his last team before he retires. He was taken off the pitch after playing for 67 minutes and received a round of applause from the crowd.

Although Messi's presence has undoubtedly led to all the changes that have turned Inter Miami from a less successful team in the MLS to one that cannot be ignored, it will most likely be the final efforts of El Pistolero's career that are crucial if the club wants to successfully transition to imminent championship status as it was intended.

Suárez expressed his desire for Miami fans to be filled with joy, hinting at his satisfaction with their performance during the game.
