UK farmers: share your views on the changes to inheritance tax

Inheritance tax

In her autumn budget announcement, Rachel Reeves stated that farms in the UK valued at over £1 million will now be subject to inheritance tax, ending their previous exemption.

Starting in April 2026, there will be a 50% inheritance tax relief for business and agricultural assets valued over £1 million, resulting in an effective tax rate of 20%.

We’d love to get feedback from farmers in the UK regarding the recent changes. How do you think these changes could impact you? Are there any worries you would like to share?
