India vs New Zealand latest: Live scores and updates from Cricket World Cup semi-final

India vs New Zealand

Kiwi Batsmen Chase Target Of 398 - NZ 245/4 At 38 Overs

Shami pitches a yorker to Mitchell, who manages to hit it and go back to the crease to score a single. It seems like Phillips needs to start hitting the ball harder soon. The scoring pace will become difficult to maintain if he doesn't start playing more aggressively.

Mitchell contributed to the game by hitting a powerful six over the head of bowler Shami. He then hit a full toss straight towards the stumps at the non-striker's end, causing them to crash.

"NZ Chasing 398: Mitchell's Century Takes Score To 236/4"

I'm interested in seeing Siraj approach Mitchell from a different angle by changing his position on the pitch. He tries to bowl a wide yorker that forces Mitchell to stretch out to the side of the off stump. It's a clever strategy, but Siraj has to be precise with his delivery because there's not much room for mistakes.

Siraj throws three consecutive dots with perfect accuracy, leaving Mitchell momentarily confused. However, Mitchell manages to get a single by squirting the ball through point before Phillips pushes the ball out through cover and sprints back for a couple of runs.

'World's Best'

Mitchell started playing Test matches in December 2019 against England in Hamilton as an all-rounder who bowled medium-paced. Mitchell's skillset at that time matched what would be expected of an all-rounder with such abilities. Since then, Mitchell has made significant progress in the last four years. Currently, he is one of the most exceptional batsmen in the world, both in Test matching (with an average of 57) and white-ball cricket. Undoubtedly, Mitchell's progress has been remarkable.

"NZ Chasing 398 With 231/4 At 36+"

Mitchell manages to score a single but suddenly experiences cramps and falls down at the non-striker's end. Everyone waits for a moment while he receives treatment and drinks some fluids. However, the game is far from over and they still have to keep running.

Phillips hit a shot behind the square on the off side and earned a boundary score. The hush of the audience was noticeable when the ball connected with the boundary rope. It's hard to stress enough how silent the crowd became after that play.

NZ Chasing 398: Mitchell Scored 103 In 224/4 At Age 35

Mitchell should realize that the entire responsibility of this run chase lies on his shoulders. If he doesn't play the game fast enough, the required rate will become unmanageable.

Shami manages to trick Mitchell with a slower pitch, but Mitchell swings too soon and luckily doesn't hit his own stumps. Phillips tries to hit a drive to the cover area, but is disappointed when the ball hits a fielder instead of going through a gap.

NZ Chasing 398 With 221/4

Mitchell quickly takes his turn to bat, and Sharma sets up a strategic position for the incoming player, Glenn Phillips, with slip. This creates an opportunity for India and Jadeja to put pressure on Phillips. Phillips manages to finish the over, but only scores one run as India dominates the game.

NZ 220/4 Chase 398, Cross 33 Mark

Wow, that was quite a thrilling over! Mitchell managed to hit a century before Shami came in and took two crucial wickets. It definitely seems like this was the pivotal moment in the game.

Tom Latham has been given out LBW by Mohammed Shami, scoring a total of zero runs.

Here comes that guy again...

Latham is having a very unfortunate tournament. Shami pitches the ball towards Latham's pads with little spin or movement, but it's directed perfectly. Latham tries to hit the ball, but he completely misses it and the umpire rules him out. This results in a new score of 220 for 4.

Kane Williamson was bowled out by Mohammed Shami through the assistance of Yadav, scoring 69 runs.

In the cricket game, Shami directs the ball towards the leg side and Williamson tries to hit it. At first, it seems like he has hit it hard enough to get a point, but the ball falls short. Fortunately, Yadav is there and catches it with pleasure. As a result, the score is now 220 for 3.

Mitchell Hits Triple Digits

Mitchell has reached a noteworthy milestone of 100 with a straightforward hit towards the leg side. This is his second such achievement in the ongoing tournament, but he still has a lot of tasks left to complete.

NZ Chasing 398: Williamson 69, Mitchell 99

Williamson hits it with a tight squeeze past the cover. He desires to take two runs but Mitchell stops him, probably to avoid tiring his legs. Jadeja is performing well, causing the ball to turn at an almost ninety-degree angle, and Mitchell is unable to hit it.

Mitchell creates some space for himself and hits the ball towards the deep cover, reaching the score of 99. After that, Williamson manages to hit the ball towards the leg side for another boundary.

To win the match, New Zealand requires a total of 179 runs within 18 overs.

"Game's Not Over Yet"

During the drinks break, Rohit Sharma gathered the Indian team for a quick meeting. He was fully aware of how important the next ten overs were, and made sure that everyone understood the gravity of the situation.

NZ Chasing 398: Williamson 64, Mitchell 98

Wow, what an incredible hit by Daryl Mitchell! Bumrah comes charging in and Mitchell effortlessly sends the ball soaring over extra cover for a massive six. It was a truly impressive shot! After that, Mitchell and Williamson exchange quick singles before Mitchell adds two more runs to his total with a smooth shot out towards deep mid-wicket, bringing his score to 98.

Magnificent from Williamson until the end of the over as he powerfully hit Bumrah's delivery through extra cover for a four.

"NZ Dominates With 199/2, Williamson And Mitchell Shine"

Mitchell hit the ball with force and sent it to the deep-wicket area with just one hand, earning himself a single point. These two players have been doing an excellent job so far. After that, Williamson positioned himself on one knee and took a hard swing at Kuldeep's delivery. The timing was perfect and the ball went past the fielder on the boundary for four more points.

Next up is Mitchell who executes a flawless reverse-sweep and manages to sneak it past Jadeja and backward point for a total of 11 runs in the over.

New Zealand Score 188/2 With Williamson And Mitchell's Partnership

Bumrah starts his bowling spell with a slow ball, and Williamson expertly hits it towards the cover area for a single. Jasprit decides to reduce the speed of his throw once again, and Mitchell uses his special shot, the pick-up shot. Unfortunately, he hits the ball too early and loses his grip on the bottom of the bat. However, there isn't any fielder present at the deep forward square, and the ball escapes all defenders and bounces once before crossing the boundary line for a valuable four runs.

Jadeja made an excellent diving stop at point in order to prevent a quick and powerful square cut and ended up saving three runs.

Afterward, Mohammed Shami drops an easy catch from Williamson at mid-on, raising his hands as the ball went down. They take only one run. That's the end of my participation.

Tom Ward will guide you until the conclusion of the game as NZ requires 210 runs in 21 overs.

Kiwi Batsmen Dominate: NZ 180/2

Mitchell executed an orthodox sweep for two runs and followed it up by playing in reverse mode, hitting the next ball for four fine of short third man. Kuldeep managed to stop him from scoring runs with four dot balls to end the over. However, New Zealand has performed exceptionally well and exceeded all expectations by scoring 180 for two, leaving them with 218 runs to score from 132 balls. It's almost like a dream come true for neutral fans!

It's the appropriate moment for Bumrah to make a comeback.

"NZ Scores 174/2 With Williamson & Mitchell's Partnership"

Mitchell is aware of Jadeja's fast ball and predicts that it won't curve, so he hits it high over long on for an impressive 107m six. This is the tournament's longest shot up until now, landing on the roof's fascia. The audience is stunned into silence, becoming increasingly unnerved.

NZ Leads With 165/2 At Over 26

Williamson hit a single by driving the ball towards the long on area. With another hit towards the long off area, he accomplished his half-century. Mitchell attempted to enhance his shot by skipping forward and hitting a high drive off the toe of his bat, but the ball fell short by 5 meters of the long on area. They quickly ran a single, but Williamson was caught off-guard when a leg-break pitch was thrown as a googly. He tried to cut the ball but ended up dragging it from the bottom edge, causing the ball to whiz past the stumps.

NZ Scores 161/2 With Williamson And Mitchell Top Scoring

In the tournament, India's left-handed spin duo is being targeted for the first time, and Mitchell hits a powerful drive with a full swing from a high back lift that takes the bat through 270 degrees until it is up by his shoulder. This is his third six, and after a few singles, he hits two runs through midwicket.

"NZ's Williamson And Mitchell Lead With 151/2 Over 24"

Kuldeep executed a massive leg-break which caused Williamson's leg to break, but unfortunately, the ball veered too much towards the leg side. After two deliveries, Kuldeep hits Williamson again on the pad, this time because he missed his sweep, though the ball was pitched outside off. He's taking a risky approach while facing the spinners, but he's still standing.

NZ Leads At 148/2 With Williamson And Mitchell Hitting Half-centuries

In the cricket match between India and New Zealand, there was some commotion on the field. Jadeja, an Indian player, became angry and threw the ball back in a rude manner after Williamson, a player from New Zealand, made a defensive move. He also hit his knees in frustration when the ball got past Rahul and earned New Zealand four points. This behavior was senseless. Earlier, Mitchell, another player from New Zealand, scored fifty points off a mistake made by Jadeja. Both players then scored a few more points before Jadeja lost his temper and caused his team to lose four extra points. He was so ashamed that he couldn't even look at his captain.

"NZ Dominates At 141/2 With Williamson And Mitchell Scoring"

It's Williamson's turn to face off against Kuldeep. Kuldeep skillfully makes use of his shot length to execute a sweep and earn two points, then switches things up by using his shot line to confidently execute a cut shot that sends the ball straight to the rope at cover. While New Zealand has made some progress with their scoring, they still face some incredibly tough challenges ahead.

Williamson And Mitchell Lead NZ To 133/2 At Over 21

Mitchell was almost out, and Jadeja asked the umpire to call him out, but the umpire didn't because the ball missed Mitchell and hit him outside the off line. Mitchell then hit the ball just out of Jadeja's reach, and they ran one. Williamson followed that up with another run by hitting the ball to the side. Finally, Mitchell hit a strong drive that landed in tier three, past long on.

NZ 124/2 As Williamson And Mitchell Score 32 And 41, Respectively

It's time for another unfortunate moment for Rohit as he watches the ball slip through Bumrah's hands at backward point and roll to the boundary for four. Kuldeep is trying to prevent the opposing team from swinging hard off his balls, but they manage to hit him for both a boundary and a single to midwicket.

"NZ On Top With 118/2 "

After Shami's one-over performance, Jadeja took his place and quickly stopped the opposing team's momentum. Williamson managed a single by skillfully maneuvering the ball past midwicket against the spin. Mitchell tried a reverse sweep and earned two runs. He then waited for a soft turn and lightly tapped the ball to the cover for another single.

New Zealand's Score At 114/2 In Over 18

When Shreyas jumps to stop Williamson's pull at backward square leg, Kuldeep gives him a very intimidating look. Kuldeep had actually bowled a slower delivery that Williamson successfully hit, but thankfully Shreyas managed to get to the ball before it reached the boundary. Unfortunately, as Shreyas made the dive, his knee got stuck on the ground, causing him to drop the ball before he could stop it from crossing the rope.

During the cricket game, India made an appeal for a leg-before wicket when the ball hit Williamson's knee roll due to the left-arm bowler's leg-break. The team then discussed their possible choices and concluded that the worst-case scenario would be for the umpire to make the final call. As it turned out, the umpire ruled not out.

Williamson had a moment of absent-mindedness and took his time returning to the crease. He assumed he was out but was granted a second chance when Rahul accidentally broke the stumps with his gloves before Bumrah's throw from point could hit them.

During an active over, there were four leg byes that seemed more like regular byes due to the ball slipping under the sweep and getting past Rahul as well.

"NZ's Williamson & Mitchell Shines: 104/2 In Over 17"

The son of John Mitchell, Daryl, is still doing brilliantly after two years. He hit a six by hitting the ball back over Mohammed Shami's head, causing the crowd to calm down as the score needed was now under 300. Two balls later, Shami threw a good length ball outside of the off zone, and Mitchell hit a very nice off drive for four points with his elbow raised high. The connection was perfect, similar to an elephant's eye.

Kiwi Batsmen Perform Well: NZ 93/2

Big thanks to Tom Ward for providing coverage for the initial 15 overs of New Zealand's response. They now need to score 311 runs within 210 balls, averaging at 8.88 runs per over.

Kuldeep is now coming in after the drinks break for his first over. Williamson hits a single by playing the ball off his pads. Mitchell tries to hit a leg break hard and square for a single, but he falls down early. The captain, Mitchell, hits another sweep but this time it goes fine for two runs. Mitchell attempts it for the third time and manages to get a single by paddling the ball.

Breaking news! Babar Azam has stepped down as Pakistan's captain in every form of cricket, but he will still be participating as a player.

NZ 87/2: Williamson And Mitchell In The Lead!

Siraj has caused Williamson to hurry his shot and he ends up hitting the ball towards the top of the bat. The ball rises very high into the air and travels all the way over the boundary rope for six runs, almost landing behind the wicketkeeper. Mitchell then hits the ball towards the fielder on the ground and takes only one run. Williamson is lucky again when he hits the ball with the inside edge of his bat and it narrowly misses being caught by Rahul, instead rolling to the boundary and earning him four runs.

NZ 74/2 As Williamson And Mitchell Guide The Innings

Jadeja is still bowling and Mitchell has a stroke of luck when the ball bounces awkwardly, causing him to mistime his shot. Luckily for him, the ball lands in an area without any Indian fielders. Jadeja performed excellently in that over, allowing only two runs.

"Shami Brings Back Memories"

Mohammad Shami is an outstanding bowler who excels with his outswinger and occasional nip-backer. His bowling style reminds me of another great player - I believe it resembles Fred Trueman's.

NZ Scores 72/2 With Williamson And Mitchell Batting

Mitchell attempts to play a shot by pulling Siraj off the length, but he fails. Rahul also suffers the same fate as the ball brushes past Mitchell's back pad towards the boundary. Williamson then maneuvers around the off-stump and sends the ball through the wide third man for a four. This period is proving to be good for New Zealand.

"Williamson And Mitchell Lead NZ To 62/2"

Sharma has made a strategic decision by bringing Jadeja into the game. This is a smart move as he wants to utilize the spinners' skills before the moisture on the pitch becomes a factor. Mitchell attempts a reverse sweep but misses and the ball hits his arm, bouncing off to the fielder at slip. Without hesitation, Rahul cautions Sharma against reviewing the decision.

Mitchell felt a slight ticklish sensation on one side of his leg, which allowed him to gain four points. Afterwards, Williamson hit the ball with force towards the man positioned at deep cover and secured a single point.

New Zealand Score 54/2 With Williamson And Mitchell At Bat

During the match against New Zealand, Siraj decided to replace Bumrah after the team only managed to score seven runs in the past 17 balls. Mitchell noticed this and strategized a solution by executing a well-executed lofted drive over the cover for a four-point score. Siraj tried to recover, but his shot fell short and Mitchell took advantage of this mistake by quickly reacting and swinging his bat behind square for another powerful four points.

Kiwi Scorecard: NZ 46/2

Mitchell attempted to make Shami fall over, but the ball had too much movement and ended up hitting his pads off an inside edge. An in-swing delivery went past the batter and still managed to move a long way, resulting in KL Rahul being beaten. The extra runs gained by New Zealand are proving to be of great value at the current moment.

Mitchell goes for a fast single, and succeeds despite being targeted by the fielder at mid-on.

"NZ Struggle At 40/2: Williamson And Mitchell At Bat"

Bumrah is starting to show some skills. The ball bounces off the pitch and also moves in the air. The current situation is extremely challenging for New Zealand. The ball is behaving unpredictably in the Wankhede stadium's night conditions. Even if they survive without losing any more wickets, their run rate is increasing rapidly.

New Zealand At 40/2 With Williamson And Mitchell Scoring 4 And 0 Respectively

Wow, Shami's last over was really impressive. Now, Daryl Mitchell has come in as the new player. To have a chance at winning this game, one of these two players must score a hundred points for New Zealand.

Rachin Ravindra was bowled by Mohammed Shami for 13 runs and Rahul took the catch.

Ravindra successfully hits the ball past the boundary, but unfortunately, his turn to bat is now finished. Shami's style of delivering the ball just outside the off stump has been impressively precise. This time, Ravindra accidentally edged the ball and it was caught effortlessly by Rahul. At this point, the team's score is 39/2.

"NZ Off To A Steady Start With 35/1"

Sharma is providing Bumrah with the opportunity to regain his momentum and based on the initial deliveries of this over, it appears to be a wise choice. There is considerable swing available for him if he can execute his deliveries accurately.

Rahul and the two fielders thought that Bumrah caught Williamson behind the wicket. However, the ball has touched the New Zealand skipper's back pad. Sharma decides not to challenge the decision, which turns out to be a wise move.

"NZ Scores 34/1 With Williamson And Ravindra At The Pitch"

There is a lot of action for Shami in the opening over. He's making the ball swing away from both right and left-handed batters. The new batsman, Williamson, is cautious at first, opting to not hit the ball and avoiding it twice before settling into a secure defensive stance for one hit. The noise level inside the Wankhede stadium is very loud, but the crowd goes silent for a moment as they watch Williamson confidently hit the ball with a square drive, resulting in a boundary.

Mohammed Shami has knocked out Devon Conway with a clean bowl, and the latter has only managed to score 13 runs before being dismissed.

Shami made a strong entrance into the game! Conway attempted to hit a ball that was outside of his off stump, but he only managed to nick it. There is still a lot of work for KL Rahul to do, but he does it brilliantly. He moves to his left and dives to successfully catch the ball. The current score after this wicket is 30/1.

New Zealand Starts Strong: 30/0

Each time the ball gets near a New Zealand pad, the whole Wankhede Stadium becomes vocal in their appeal. The Indian bowlers and fielders, however, are not as enthusiastic about it. They deserve recognition for their composure.

Bumrah threw two consecutive wides in a row, and the second one passed by KL Rahul and made its way to the boundary. It was strange to see the Indian cricket player not performing at his best.

Ravindra managed to touch the ball slightly with the inside of his bat, deflecting a dangerous ball from Bumrah that would have hit the stumps if he had missed it.

New Zealand Score 23 For No Loss With Conway And Ravindra Batting On 12 And 8 Respectively

A great competition took place between Siraj and Ravindra, in which the New Zealand opener showed his skills from the beginning. However, Conway managed to send Ravindra back as he was attempting to run for a single, which was not a possibility.

Siraj tricked Ravindra into taking a shot that would miss the ball as he made it slide near the left side of the batsman. But unfortunately, the ball ended up reaching the boundary line located behind the square on the leg area.

The cricket being played is of exceptionally high quality.

"NZ 19/0 As Conway And Ravindra Lead The Score"

In the game, Conway was defeated by the great skills of Bumrah. With a little bit of movement in the ball, the batsman got deceived and made a wrong shot. Although Bumrah threw a few wides afterwards, he's not yet in his finest momentum. Usually, this suggests that in his initial spell, he will take down the opponent's top order single-handedly.

When Bumrah changes his angle to come round the wicket, he becomes more dangerous. He directs the ball towards Conway, who is lucky when the ball misses his leg stump after hitting the inside edge of his bat. Bumrah's delivery provides Conway with too much space, allowing him to score four runs through cover.

NZ Scores 12/0 With Conway And Ravindra Opening

The cricket match continues with Mohammed Siraj as the new bowler taking position from the opposite end. He starts off with a good pace, but Rachin Ravindra appears confident and comfortable. Ravindra strikes the ball cleanly towards the fielder at mid-off.

Siraj is gradually helping Ravindra regain some movement in his left hand. New Zealand should be cautious during the first 10 overs as there's a high chance of the ball swerving due to the lighting.

Ravindra has scored his first run with a hesitant stroke towards the off-side and the ball has gone past the fielders for a boundary.

"NZ 8/0 With Conway And Ravindra"

In the beginning of their innings, Devon Conway hit the first ball from Jasprit Bumrah to the point for four. It's a great start for the New Zealand team. Maybe this is just the beginning of their impressive game? That is yet to be determined. On the third ball, Conway repeats his previous hit as he leans to one side to hit a ball with a slight width, scoring his second boundary.

"Virat Kohli Makes History"

Once more, the amazing individual [Sachin Tendulkar] expressed his congratulations towards me. I must admit, it all seems like an unreal experience and too perfect to be believed. If someone had told me I would be in this position in my professional journey, I wouldn't have thought it possible.

During the tournament, I needed to continue my role as a batsman who stays at the crease for a long time. This allows my teammates to play more freely, knowing that I'll still be there in the final overs when I can show my full hitting potential.

The top priority for me is to lead my team towards victory, and I am willing to go to any extent to make that happen.

I find it challenging to put into words, but if I could create an ideal visual, it would be of my significant other, the one I cherish the most, seated alongside my hero. Then, I proudly stood before them and a plethora of supporters, at an extraordinary location, to celebrate my fiftieth milestone. The experience was truly breathtaking.

We did exceptionally well when it came to batting, but that was only the first part of our task.

NZ Requires 398 To Turn The Game Around

Incredible hitting by Rohit, Gill, Kohli, and Iyer gave India a significant advantage that completely dominated a weak New Zealand defense. They worked hard in hot conditions, but their mental and physical exhaustion may affect their ability to chase effectively. Nevertheless, Rachin has the potential to be a legendary player and Williamson is already a great one.

"IND's Score: 397/4 In 50+"

Gill improves his score while still not out, and Rahul finishes the game with some impressive hits - a six over long on, a four pulled behind square, and a cut shot high over point for another four. India's score in this World Cup knockout match is now the highest ever recorded. The players' batting skills were truly impressive. Unfortunately, Southee didn't have much luck - despite trying his best, he ended up with a score of 10-0-100-3.

Rahul managed to score 39 runs in just 20 balls, which helped India in making a total of 110 runs in the last 10 balls.

In the cricket game, Suryakumar was beaten by Southee and got out. Southee bowled a slow, short ball outside off, which caused Suryakumar to poorly hit it towards the cow corner. Phillips, the fielder at that corner, caught the ball with his wrists hugging it to his body, even though he initially mishandled it. This wicket occurred at a score of 382/4, marking the end of Suryakumar's batting innings.

India Scores 382/3 With Rahul And Suryakumar Batting

Rahul gets surprised as Boult couldn't land the yorker, and he hits the low full toss over long on for six. He tries to bowl another yorker, but the ball gets overpitched instead. Rahul then plays a drive behind point for four runs.

Once Iyer hits the ball beyond the fielder near the long on, he is caught out by a slow cutter that was delivered at a wider angle. He then directs the ball towards the fielder who is positioned at the same spot on the field, known as long on.

Iyer was caught by Mitchell off Boult's delivery at 105 runs. He hit a strong shot towards long on but was unsuccessful in keeping the team's aggressive approach towards the end of the game. This led to a fall of wicket (FOW) at 381/3.

Iyer And Rahul Contribute To India's Score: 366/2

Shreyas Iyer scored two consecutive hundreds in a row. He managed this by noticing Tim Southee's strategies and hitting a slow ball over the midwicket for a six. Then, he took a single to long-on which helped him reach the 100 run score in 67 balls. Meanwhile, KL Rahul hit a single by swiping the ball off the inside edge. Shreyas hit a single by cuffing the bouncer, and Rahul gained two points by paddling before cutting a single. Unfortunately, Tim Southee had to keep bowling for four overs at the end of the game due to Ferguson's injury and initial poor performance. Despite Southee's hard work and dedication, his score of 9-0-85-2 does not accurately reflect his effort.

Indians Score Big: Iyer At 93, Rahul At 10

Boult has returned to bowl two overs towards the end of the game. During the first over, Rahul made a great shot by slicing the ball past the point for four. Boult attempted to recover by throwing a slow, shorter ball but it didn't work. Next, Boult tried a yorker which managed to get the better of KL. He tried a flick but ended up hitting his pad as the ball missed the stumps. The opposing team made a small appeal for a leg-before but the ball was angled too far across and would have missed a second set of stumps.

"Iyer And Rahul Contribute To India's Impressive Score Of 347/2"

The weather is dry, and Rahul strikes the ball to score four runs while Conway seems to hurt his knee while attempting to stop it. He appears to be in a lot of agony but eventually rises to his feet. Perhaps there should be some new diving techniques to avoid such injuries. Southee finishes the over with a slow bouncer that hits Rahul in the stomach, making him hunch over and gasping for breath. Rather than rubbing the pain away, it's better to keep track of the number of runs scored.

IND Leads With 341/2: Iyer Scores 90, Rahul 1

In simpler terms, Shreyas Iyer is a strong hitter and can swing the bat really hard. He hit two sixes into the second tier at long off during the seventh over, and also hit seven total sixes and three fours. Iyer then passed the opportunity to hit and let KL take the strike, but quickly got it back with a punch to cover for a single run.

What impresses me most about Virat Kohli is his strong drive and physical fitness, especially after achieving 50 ODI hundreds. When comparing him with the younger Joe Root, Kohli seems to have a greater hunger for the game. Unlike Root, Kohli has never abandoned traditional shots in favor of more unconventional ones. He is satisfied with simply hitting a single down the field. Watching him play in an ODI match in India is reminiscent of Bradman's classic style.

Indians Score 327/2 With Iyer At 77 And Rahul At 0

Phillips missed the chance to catch Kohli at cow corner. Although he ran towards the ball and dived, he couldn't hold on and touched the ground with his fingers. Kohli and Southee have a strong friendship, but Kohli didn't hesitate to hit the next ball, which stuck in the pitch, beyond Phillips' reach for six runs. Kohli continued to mock Phillips by hitting two more runs, following him around, until he eventually got caught out on the next ball.

As he leaves, the audience rises to applaud him. It's the moment everyone's been waiting for...

Before getting caught out by Southee, Kohli had missed three balls at midwicket. He eventually hit the ball to square leg and was caught by a diving fielder. At this point, India's score was 327/2.

Let me tell you how he achieved the feat of breaking the record. You can imagine Roy Castle playing his trumpet in the background as I narrate the story.

India Dominates: Kohli And Iyer Lead With 314/1

Ravindra keeps going and Iyer hits the ball over long on for six without wearing a hat. He takes advantage of the shorter distance and manages to get the ball just over the rope. Ferguson tries to chase it, but he can't because his leg has stiffened up after his calf injury. Simon Doull thinks that Ferguson won't be able to bowl again since he's injured. The bowler tries to keep the ball out of Iyer's reach but misses twice and causes two wide balls. This adds to the score of three singles that Iyer was able to get.

IND Dominates: Kohli Scores 106, Iyer 66

Ferguson throws a short ball and Iyer uses a short-arm movement to hit it towards the fielder at long on. Iyer gets a single and then uses the same movement to play another shot towards the fielder at square leg. This is after Kohli hits a slower ball with the inside edge of his bat and gets a single.

As Kohli stepped up to bat again, he skillfully flicked a well-placed ball off the middle towards the square behind him, scoring two points and achieving a remarkable 50th ODI century. This feat surpasses his previous record of sharing 49 centuries with Sachin. It's amazing that Kohli has managed to achieve such a milestone, especially after some people doubted him following his performance in 2021.

The man is celebrating with a mixture of pride and relief. It's not really a comeback as he has been here for a long time. As the over comes to an end, he hits the last ball hard towards midwicket and it goes for a four.

India's Dominance: Kohli And Iyer Lead With 292/1

Rachin Ravindra is commencing the final Powerplay. Although India is making an imposing total, it could have been more intimidating if they hadn't been hindered by cramping. The all-rounder had a great over, conceding only five singles, which is considered a success at this stage of the game.

Latham believed he had made contact with the ball when attempting to make a cut, but the Ultra-edge technology did not show any signs of impact.

India Score 287/1 With Kohli At 95 And Iyer At 61, Over 40

Shreyas rotates his wrists on a delivery from Ferguson, allowing him to hit a single, and then sends a straighter and fuller ball through midwicket for a boundary. Kohli manages to get two singles by hitting the ball towards the onside. However, the second one is a bit too close for comfort and he falls down while trying to complete the run due to his injured hamstring.

"India Dominate With 275/1 As Kohli And Iyer Shine"

It took Kohli a while to get used to the stiffness in his leg caused by the treatment. As a result, he found it challenging to make his shots during Santner's last over. They only managed to take a single point each, but Kohli seemed to struggle and appeared uncertain when slicing a few drives that turned big, and he failed to hit them very far, not quite reaching the men in the offside ring.

Kohli And Iyer Lead India To 275/1 With Over 38

Kohli experienced a cramp in his right thigh while hitting a pull off Boult for a single, which is known as Maxwellite tin leg syndrome. Fortunately, he only suffered from cramps in one leg, also called uni-cramper. The duo could only manage five singles due to the short balls and yorkers. The physio had to rush to the field to relieve Kohli's hamstring.

India Dominates With Score Of 270/1 At Over 37

Shubman Gill is now in the dugout with his cricket gear on again, so it seems that he may have only experienced cramping rather than a pulled hamstring. Iyer has achieved his fourth score of over 50 in a row by hitting the ball towards the sweeper point, resulting in a single point. Santner has only allowed four more singles to be scored, which is impressive given that he has conceded 49 runs with a score of 9-1-49-0. However, the rest of the team has not been able to match his level of quality.

"India Dominates With 265/1: Kohli Scores 86, Iyer 49"

Trent Boult returns to the field in an unappreciated position during the 30-40 over pre-game chaos. Kohli executes a pull shot, causing the ball to soar over the field and earn him four points, and secures a single point by tapping the ball with the inside of his bat. Iyer quickly reacts to the slower-delivered ball and ruthlessly sends it flying over the bowler's head for a remarkable six-point score. He then hits a square drive with force, bringing in another four points for his team. It was an incredibly fierce display of skill and strength.

The commentary of Sir Viv Richards ????️ is being discussed.

A lot of individuals demanded that Kohli should be fired when he was facing difficult times, but rational thinking was not present.

"India's Strong Start: Kohli And Iyer Lead With 248/1 At 35 Over"

Santner has found himself a new match! It's quite impressive. He's been using a certain technique to keep Iyer, who has a reputation for being difficult against spin, quiet. However, I doubt this approach will work forever.

"India's Impressive Score: Kohli And Iyer Lead With 248/1"

In the cricket match, Iyer completely dominated Iyer by hitting the ball over his hand and into the upper section, earning six points. Prior to that, Kohli hit a single off Phillips by tapping the ball with his pads, which helped him surpass Sachin's record of 673 in the 2003 South Africa World Cup, making him the top scorer for a single World Cup season.

Virat Kohli doesn't need any more compliments, but if he did, he got one from Sir Viv Richards during the TV commentary. Viv said Kohli was brilliant after he walked down the pitch and hit a six, just like Viv used to do.

India Dominates With 238/1 Led By Kohli And Iyer

Southee switched sides and Iyer hit his slow ball over midwicket for a six. Initially, it seemed like the ball would travel more up than across, but it easily cleared the fielder positioned at cow corner. After Iyer scored a single towards long-on, Kohli hit two runs through cover and kept the strike by hitting a single towards long-on.

India Scores 226/1 With Kohli 74 & Iyer 22

After the break, Phillips took over for Southee. Iyer hit a drive down the ground for a single. The off-spinner delivered a ball towards Kohli's legs and Virat used the angle to whip it for a four to the fine leg. Phillips trapped him with three dot balls but there was no tension and the damage was already done.

"India's Kohli And Iyer Lead With 221/1 At Over 31"

Fantastic shot by Kohli during the current great phase of his career. He rose up on his toes and hit the ball perfectly between point and short third man for four runs. That shot alone deserves a celebratory drink, and the drinks are being brought out.

Wow, the Indian cricket team is really efficient. If you want to win against them, you should aim to constantly attack their bowling. They don't have any substitutes and only rely on five bowlers. Another strategy is to take early wickets and to continuously try to take more. Let's stop their top scorer. It's quite entertaining to watch their games.

India 214/1 With Kohli And Iyer On Strike

Lockie Ferguson is now out and Tim Southee joins the team. Kohli decides to hit a slower ball and shows off some fancy footwork, shimmying towards the ball and hitting a bottom-handed flick over long-on for six. India keeps up the momentum with four singles between cover and mid-off. There's a theory among analysts that predicts the score at the 30-over mark should be doubled after 50 overs. If India manages to achieve this, it would be an impressive feat. Wow!

"India's Score: 203/1 With Kohli And Iyer Leading"

Boult has come back into the game and Kohli takes charge, hitting the ball over mid-off for a boundary. They chose to settle for a couple of singles after scoring heavily on the first ball. Sir Viv Richards is presently providing his commentary. For those belonging to my age-group, Sir Viv Richards is an unparalleled icon and will forever remain so.

Virat Kohli has been performing incredibly well in the World Cup. He has managed to score over 50 in 8 out of 10 innings and he seems to be fully in command of the second half of the match.

India Dominates With 197/1, Kohli Scores 52, Iyer 15

Ferguson and Iyer delivered some amazing moves in the game, with Iyer sending out a quick and impressive yorker. The over only resulted in three singles, indicating great defensive performance. New Zealand managed to recover from the initial nine runs per over, bringing it down to a little over seven.

"India's Kohli And Iyer Dominate With 194/1 Score In Over 27"

As the DJ plays music, the crowd shouts out 'King! King! Kohli!' as he achieves his 72nd fifty in One Day Internationals (ODI). This is his first fifty in the World Cup knockouts since 2011, and he secured it by hitting the ball towards long-on off Ravindra.

In an earlier part of the game, Iyer made a flashy play by hitting a six over long-off after chasing after a left-arm spinner. However, he almost fell into a trap from the spinner's wider delivery and tempting trajectory, which nearly caused him to hit a catch that would have landed in the hands of a fielder placed precisely for such an event. Instead, he hit a streaky shot that went past the diving fielder.

"India Leading At 181/1 With Kohli On 48 And Iyer At 4"

Ferguson bowled well in his second over after struggling in his first one due to heavy rain. Kohli hit the ball for two runs towards the long leg area. He narrowly avoided a dangerous ball and managed to hit another one for a single using his hip. Tim Southee congratulated Kohli with a hug at the end of the over, both of them happy and smiling.

India's Score: 178/1 With Kohli And Iyer Batting

New Zealand's fielding was not up to par. It was really their poor decision-making that became evident as Latham fumbled a return and Kohli managed to quickly take another run. Aside from that, Ravindra's over was decent, but there were only two runs scored and two singles hit towards the long-off area.

"India Dominant: Kohli And Iyer Score 173/1 In 24 Overs"

Kohli is not having any trouble with the hot weather. He is running quickly between the wickets, always pushing the fielders to move faster. When Ferguson comes back to bowl, he almost gets Iyer out with his fast pace. Iyer tries to hit the ball but is unsure and ends up hitting the edge of his bat. The ball bounces once and goes to the fine leg area for a single. Kohli also makes a mistake when he attempts a pull shot, and the ball hits his glove and goes wide of Latham, giving him four runs. Even though Ferguson can take pride in his attempts, they do not bring him any reward.

India's Superior Start With Kohli And Iyer At 35 And 1 Respectively

Santner puts down some nasty stuff that Kohli manages to hit through midwicket for a boundary. Shubman, who recently got over Dengue Fever to join the team, has to leave the field due to a serious hamstring injury that seems worse than just a muscle cramp.

Gill leaves the game early after scoring 79 runs.

Shreyas Iyer steps in to face the final two deliveries of the over.

Iyer attempted to take a single towards the short fine leg, but was sent back. However, he managed to score his first run with a gentle drive towards the long off.

"Brook's Learning Curve"

I'm hopeful that Harry Brook is keeping an eye on Shubman Gill, who is around the same age and possesses comparable skills. Despite England's elimination from the World Cup tournament, Brook has only participated in 12 One Day International matches. In contrast, Gill patiently establishes himself in the game, adjusts his pace as needed, constructs his innings, and mostly hits the ball along the ground except for when he attempts to score a six.

IND 157/1 With Gill And Kohli On Fire

Phillips is prevented from scoring by a precise sequence of throwing darts, resulting in four singles. Eoin Morgan believes that New Zealand is struggling and requires Boult to come back and split the partnership instead of attempting to quietly bowl a few overs of spin.

India Dominates At 153/1 With Gill And Kohli Leading

During Santner's over, India successfully achieved three singles. Rohit then sent a message to Ashwin through the drinks waiter. According to the commentators, Rohit wants the team to pick up the pace against the challenging sixth bowler, Phillips. Despite being on track to reach 380, Rohit is still pushing the team to do better.

"India Set Strong Start: 150/1 With Gill And Kohli"

Gill is impressively hitting the ball with a combination of flair, cleverness, and composure. He has the perception to know when to take a risk and move forward to hit the ball high over mid-off for six. When the next ball comes, Gill returns to his position and smoothly advances to hit a single through midwicket, causing confusion for the bowler. The challenge for the bowler is deciding where to throw the ball to Gill on a small field, in scorching heat, and a deafening atmosphere that is intensified by the high-pitched voice of the DJ/cheerleader.

IND 142/1: Gill Scores 67, Kohli 25

Both batsmen have removed their helmets and are now wearing caps. Gill, who hit the fielders with his first two shots off Santner's fifth over, takes advantage of a mistake in the length and hits a single past the fielder to the boundary at cover. Kohli then takes two singles to either side of Gill's shot for one run.

India Scores 138/1 With Gill At 65 And Kohli At 23

Phillips takes over from Gill. They'll require some overs from the off-spinner under unfavorable conditions, facing the toughest opponents, considering Lockie's poor performance.

He managed to leave the over with a cheap score of just six runs. This included four singles and two runs scored by Kohli, which were smoothly hit through midwicket with a clever use of wrist movement.

"India Going Strong: Gill Scores 63, Kohli On 19"

Gill successfully hit another six by skipping down to Santner with his feet and dumping the ball over his head, straight into the Indian dressing room. This shows that Santner was unable to regain control. However, Santner attempted to correct his mistake by drifting too wide, giving Gill the opportunity to play a late cut. The way Gill played the shot was reminiscent of the legendary Indian cricketer Gundappa Viswanath, with the ball echoing at a more delicate and elevated height.

"Indians Dominate With 121/1 As Gill Scores 53 And Kohli 18."

Ravindra is doing a good job of bowling according to his field placement. Williamson positions himself once again at the short cover position in order to dissuade Kohli from playing his signature drive without caution. This tactic proves successful in making Kohli rely more on his bottom hand to hit singles on either side of Williamson. Gill then rocks back and hits a single towards the sweeper at cover point. New Zealand is attempting to regain control by using their spinners, but it may be too little too late. The partnership between the two players reaches fifty runs after 46 balls with the final single.

IND Cruising: 118/1 After 15 Overs

Santner is putting immense pressure on the batsmen by strategically changing the pace of his deliveries and providing them with an enticing flight. Despite this, he's not permitting them to hit freely due to his accurate line. The batsmen are managing to score four singles and are effectively positioned as they approach the mid-game drinks break on a scorching afternoon.

The upcoming semi final match between Australia and South Africa, happening tomorrow at Eden Gardens, will be played on a previously used pitch. The pitch was also utilized during the England-Pakistan game over the weekend. It is uncertain whether this pitch will be advantageous for either Australia or South Africa.

IND Leads With Gill And Kohli: 114/1

As pace is becoming costly, Williamson seeks the help of Rachin Ravindra and two rounds of left-arm spin. Glenn Phillips' danger is weakened due to the absence of left-handed batsmen in India's team. Gill reaches his fifty by taking a shot that lands far off and then Kohli performs a quick flick of his right wrist to get two points between midwicket and long on. He then drives the ball towards the square for four more points.

See the size of the bowlers' foot imprints on this pitch that has already been used. India's spinners are sure to have lots of rough area to take advantage of when it's their turn. If the dew doesn't cause any trouble, Kuldeep especially could come up with an exceptional delivery.

"India Makes Strong Start: 104/1 With Gill And Kohli"

Ferguson switched sides, but things didn't improve for him. Gill made a quick move by hitting a short-arm pull for a four as the bowler was at his fastest, and another top-edged for a six. As usual, the bowler next threw a fast, full ball outside the batsman's range. Gill managed to push it for a single to the middle of the offside. Kohli, standing at the non-striker's end, was impressed but wanted to take the lead. He went up on his toes, slicing the ball down to third man, aiming for a single, allowing him to get back to being in control.

India Strong At 92/1 With Gill And Kohli

After Ferguson's expensive two-over round, Santner enters the field for another over. He takes it slow with his left-arm spin, which is quite unusual for this style of bowling. Gill manages to execute a sweep from the middle stump with perfect timing, but he is limited to two runs as Conway's impressive running allows him to make a tumbling stop.

11 Overs Gone: India 89/1

Southee keeps going and attempts to deceive Gill with a slow ball, but Gill stays patient and inspects his swing. However, when Southee changes it up by delivering a fuller and slower ball, Gill takes advantage and flicks it in the air past a diving short midwicket fielder for a four. It was a great shot, but New Zealand retained a glimmer of hope in that moment.

"India Dominates With 84/1 At Over 10 "

The cricket strategy used by Ferguson was not effective as he continuously fed Gill with short balls angled towards his body, resulting in a bad performance. These tactics may work well on different pitches such as Wanderers, Old Trafford or Gabba but this time, they landed on the pitch in a way that made it easy for Gill to hit fours. Despite being beaten once, Ferguson continued with the same strategy which didn't work out well.

If you're going to get beaten badly in bowling by two players who bat right-handed, it might as well be Rohit and Shubman Gill. They have impressive and graceful batting techniques. However, since Rohit has left, New Zealand should expect an hour or two of slow batting where they can only score one run per ball.

Indians Off To A Strong Start With 75/1

Southee showed smart thinking and skill by using a slower ball to dismiss Rohit, even though Rohit could have hit it for a long distance had he guessed it. Southee almost succeeded in taking out Kohli as well with a tricky delivery that moved back towards the batsman, but Kohli managed to get an edge that hit his thigh pad and bounced for a boundary.

He sure did. The sound it made was reminiscent of wood before coming into contact with his back thigh padding.

"Did Kohli make contact with the ball before getting out lbw to Southee?"

Rohit has been caught out by Williamson from Southee's bowling after scoring 47 runs. The bowling and fielding were excellent. Southee tricked the Indian captain with a slower ball. Rohit tried to hit the ball into Marine Drive but he was too early and hit it halfway between mid and long-off. Williamson ran backwards quickly and then had to jump to his left at the last moment to catch the ball over his shoulder. It was an impressive catch. The score is now 71/1.

ICC Statement On Pitch Conditions

It's normal for the pitching order to be adjusted during a lengthy event, and this has already occurred more than once. Our host and the venue's curator suggested a modification in the order, so we made the change. We also informed the ICC's neutral pitching consultant about it, and they are confident that the pitch will remain in good condition.

India Off To A Strong Start: 70/0

Gill has encountered fewer balls than Rohit but he prefers the high speed of the game and is in a prime spot for when Lockie Ferguson joins in. New Zealand's fastest bowler, known as "Black Boots", charges in and Gill strikes a cover drive for four. He then gains two runs with a flick to midwicket and a superb off-drive that Southee almost saves from going out of bounds.

Rohit is in need of a fresh pair of gloves at this point.

India's Strong Start: 61/0 With Rohit On 47 And Gill On 11

Boult has improved and is now performing consistently in terms of length and speed, although he did have one shot go too wide towards the right-handed batter's hips. The infield did a great job of quickly getting to the ball when it was nudged or nurdled, stopping any fast singles. Rohit hit the ball with force, but the point sweeper was able to run and stop it from being a boundary, allowing only two runs.

"India's Rohit And Gill Score 58/0 In 6 Overs"

However, Rohit has no intention of altering his strategy and instead he welcomes the possibility of taking risks, executing a graceful shot that sails past a fielder's diving attempt and earns him four runs. In an uncommon lapse of judgement from Santner, the subsequent ball is poorly delivered, allowing Rohit to pivot on his back foot and send the ball soaring over the square leg umpire's head for six. As exhibited by Dinesh Karthik, the technique of swinging the bat in a gyroscopic motion, from a low to high position during a revolution, is what makes this stroke so distinctive and impressive.

Ind Vs Aus: Rohit And Gill's Partnership - 47 Runs Without Loss

I don't understand what New Zealand is doing. They keep giving Rohit the opportunity to use his pull shot, even though it would be foolish to do the same with Ricky Ponting or Richie Richardson. Rohit seizes the chance presented by Boult's short delivery that is directed towards his body from the round-the-wicket position and hits it for a six. After taking a single, Gill smashes the ball off the back foot for two runs.

New Zealand is going to make a strategy shift and substitute Santner into the game.

India's Strong Start: 38/0

Southee misses the mark with a ball that is too far to the side of the leg and then gives Rohit a chance to shine with a mediocre ball from a player who isn't quite fast, which the Indian captain takes advantage of by pulling it like a hero for a four. After that, Southee pitches a longer ball and Rohit flicks it with great skill, sending it over the deep backward square for a six. Despite the fielder briefly showing an interest, he knew it wasn't in his reach and watched as it sailed three rows back.

In case New Zealand faces adversity, such as losing the toss and India getting to choose the pitch, their fielding might be the key to turn things around. A few exceptional plays could empower NZ's bowlers to take down India's lower order, and the home team's bowlers can excel at pitching instead of batting.

India's Score: 25/0 With Rohit And Gill

Rohit feels hesitant and aborts his attempt to pull the ball. However, on the subsequent ball, he decides to be his true self and goes all-in. He confidently skips down and smacks Boult's delivery over mid-off for a six! The fact that there isn't much swing in the air is making it easier for Boult and Southee, but Boult shows some resilience. He changes his angle and comes at Rohit from the other side. After throwing a wide ball, Boult hurls a tough delivery that hits Rohit's midriff, making him writhe in pain.

"India's Score: 18/0 With Rohit And Gill At Bat"

Tim Southee came in to replace the old ball with the new one. He was in good form, being a right-arm bowler. Gill attempted to hit the ball through the square leg and cover region during his first two deliveries, but couldn't succeed. Southee then made a mistake by delivering a poor ball - a half-volley down the leg and middle and Gill took full advantage by striking it through square leg for four runs.

Southee modifies his approach, and Gill attempts to hit it with a flick from the side of the pitch. However, Harrow luckily managed to hit it with an inside edge, resulting in a four.

It's worth noting that the playing field selected for today's game was last used two weeks ago, making it quite recent. This particular field was used for a game against Sri Lanka where India's seamers managed to take nine wickets. However, when South Africa batted on the same field a month ago, it proved to be a very easy playing field for the batsmen. Today, the temperature is incredibly hot in Mumbai at a scorching 34C, but I don't expect the New Zealand team to crumble under the heat the way England did. They seem much more resilient.

"India Scores 10 With Rohit And Gill At The Crease"

Rohit starts his batting with a flick shot that drives the ball through midwicket for two runs. Boult, the opposing team's bowler, positions one slip player and aims to get Rohit bowled or lbw. Rohit defends the next two inswingers but chooses to go for the third one and flicks it off his front leg, sending the ball barely over a jumping short midwicket player. He then hits the next ball through extra-cover and scores four. It's not a standard shot for him, but he executes it perfectly. Rohit begins his innings in typical fashion and asks the DJ to lower the volume after Boult's over is finished.

The initial delivery is taken by Trent Boult. When it comes to knockout games during the World Cup, India has always triumphed whenever they bat first.

There was no requirement for India to change the cricket field conditions. The team is already skilled and capable. However, if they do win the World Cup, it would be a disgrace due to the close affiliation between the cricket board (BCCI) and a political party (BJP). This kind of association can lead to unethical practices becoming normalized.

If India emerges victorious, even the local viewers are likely to forget about it, as it could become just another tactic used for political gain - targeting one's own supporters while disregarding the rest. However, if this plan goes wrong...

Blue-clad Crowd Sparkles

As the teams prepare to sing their national anthems, New Zealand makes a lot of noise and commotion.

Eoin Morgan, Nasser Hussain, and Dinesh Karthik expressed their thoughts about India's decision to choose a pitch that has been used twice. According to them, this may have been a mistake especially with the impressive performances of Jasprit Bumrahj and Mohammed Shami in bowling. In addition, India has not been performing well against left-arm spin in the tournament and given that Santner is one of the best in the World Cup, this could be a problem for them.

According to Morgan, the pitch used by New Zealand brings their opponents into a tough fight, just like what happened before four years ago. On the other hand, DK believes that losing the toss was a good decision. However, the pitch selection suggests that the team may be feeling anxious, despite achieving a flawless record of nine wins out of nine.

The Indian cricket team's roster for an upcoming match includes Rohit Shama as captain, as well as Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul as the wicket-keeper, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadab, and Mohammed Siraj.

The cricket team from New Zealand has recently announced their lineup of players. The team will consist of Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Kane Williamson who is also the Captain, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham as the wicketkeeper, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, and Trent Boult.

The umpires for the upcoming cricket match will be Richard Illingworth from England and Rod Tucker from Australia. The TV umpire will be Joel Wilson from the West Indies.

"India Wins Coin Toss"

The team will take their turn to bat at the beginning of the game.

According to Rohit Sharma, the pitch appears to be in good condition, albeit slow. He emphasizes the significance of the upcoming day and stresses the need for the team to perform to the best of their abilities. Rohit Sharma acknowledges that the circumstances may be challenging, but he believes that the team has the potential to overcome any obstacle. He emphasizes the importance of focus and controlling the aspects of the game that they can.

Kane Williamson stated that he and his team would have made the same decision, but he acknowledged that the playing surface has been used before and he's hoping for some dew in the evening to provide some assistance. He's excited for the game and the challenge it presents, as both teams have faced a range of different conditions in previous matches, and this game is a knockout situation.

Um, not that type of search. It appears to be similar to a detailed investigation conducted at a crime scene, where every inch is carefully combed over for evidence.

India Accused Of Pitch Tampering For Spinners

There are allegations that India deliberately chose to play on a previously used pitch for their semi-final match against New Zealand in Mumbai.

The game versus New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium was scheduled to be played on a new field, but the ground officials decided to use the same pitch that was played on in two earlier games in the competition.

During global events, the local ground staff are responsible for preparing the pitches. However, they are overseen by an independent expert from the International Cricket Council. The ICC also has rules that allow the relevant ground authorities to select the pitches. Despite this, it had been decided that the semi-final match would take place on pitch number 7. Surprisingly, it was announced on Tuesday that the game would be played on strip number 6 instead. This particular pitch had been used for the India-Sri Lanka match two weeks earlier and the England-South Africa match just last month.

An already played cricket pitch could be beneficial for India's spin bowlers, and if it is slower, it might counteract the danger posed by New Zealand's fast bowlers. This is strange because India has excelled at this tournament with their fantastic fast bowling. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami are leading the charge for the Indian team.

The change occurred when news surfaced that Andy Atkinson, who advises the ICC on pitch conditions, had sent an email to his superiors expressing concerns about a similar occurrence happening during the upcoming final match in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

Due to these actions, it is uncertain if the upcoming ICC CWC final will have a pitch that has been intentionally selected and prepared according to the preferences of the team management and/or the home nation board. This was stated in an email by Andy Atkinson, the ICC's pitch consultant, and was published by the Daily Mail. It is unclear whether the pitch will be chosen and prepared impartially, as usual, or if it will be biased towards one of the competing sides.

This isn't the initial instance that previously used pitches have been utilized for semi-finals. Fresh pitches at Edgbaston and Old Trafford were used during the two 2019 semi-finals. Nevertheless, the Cardiff semi-final of the 2017 Champions Trophy, which England lost to Pakistan, had been played on a pitch that was already used during the group stages. Additionally, the two pitches employed during the semi-finals of the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia in the previous year had also been used previously.

India failed to progress past the semi-final stage in the past two editions of the World Cup, and were defeated by New Zealand during the last one at Old Trafford. At this year's tournament, India's seam bowlers have been the primary force instead of their spinners. In their previous game at the Wankhede Stadium against Sri Lanka, who were 29 for eight at a point, India's seamers were responsible for taking nine of the ten wickets that fell.

Hello and welcome to the live broadcast of the initial semi-final in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, which seems to have been happening since May. The host team, India, has continued to have an undefeated record after their last home victory in 2011, and appeared in the two prior semi-finals. They are now up against New Zealand, who have their sights set on a third consecutive shot at the finals. This time, they aim to overcome the financial and playing resource obstacles that have made India, Australia, and England, the reigning world champions, and stop being the runner-up.

Back in the day, there was a cricket match between India and New Zealand at Old Trafford. The pitch was wet and the game was slow. India, who had done well in the previous rounds, faced off against New Zealand who were in fourth place. During the game, Ross Taylor from New Zealand had a decent but not very exciting performance with a score of 74 after 90 balls. Their overall gameplay was also lackluster, resulting in a score of 239 for eight. This was far from ideal and put them in a disadvantageous position of being 40 points behind. The game lasted two days.

However, India continued to follow their successful strategy from 2011 of establishing a sturdy foundation for MS Dhoni to lead them to victory. Unfortunately, their arrogance in their tactics and the impressive initial attack from Matt Henry, along with Trent Boult dismissing Virat Kohli for ju
