Axar was recently recognized with the 'Player of the Match' award for his contribution to India's victory over Australia, securing a 20-run lead and solidifying their lead to 3-1 in the five-match T20I series.

India batted first and managed to score 174 points for 9 wickets, with Rinku Singh's impressive innings being the highlight. In response, the Australian team tried to chase down the target of 175 runs but could only reach a score of 154 points for 7 wickets in 20 overs. India's spinners Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi put on a fantastic performance and played a crucial role in restricting Australia's score, resulting in India winning the game by a margin of 20 runs.
During an interview with Sports 18, Mukund mentioned that in a game where bowlers had a tough time, Axar was the sole bowler who proved to be a challenge for the batters. In four overs, Axar managed to take three wickets and gave away only 16 runs.
In my opinion, it was rather effortless. During the game, all the bowlers experienced some level of stress, but Axar Patel stood out as the one who put the most pressure on the batters. I believe he found pleasure in the fact that Glenn Maxwell seemed to struggle. This was expressed by Mukund.
He continued by mentioning that Axar has always delivered whenever given the chance, stating that he rightfully earned the title of India's best player in Raipur. During the fourth T20I, Axar managed to eliminate Travis Head, Ben McDermott, and Aaron Hardie.
In my opinion, Axar Patel has faced some unfortunate circumstances in terms of lack of opportunities. However, every time he has been given a chance, he has showcased his abilities and performed exceptionally. Recently, he has once again expressed his capabilities by saying - 'This is who I am, this is what I'm good at.' Personally, I believe he deserves recognition as the best performer today according to Mukund.
