Hull City 0-2 Sheffield United: Hamer and McCallum goals send Blades third
Sheffield United maintained their strong beginning in the Championship by securing a straightforward 2-0 victory against Hull City on the road.
Goals from Gustavo Hamer and Sam McCallum secured a win for Chris Wilder's team, propelling them to third place in the standings.
The home team began the match on a positive note, but soon found themselves trailing after an impressive counter-attack from the Blades. Callum O'Hare made a strong run before passing the ball to Hamer, who managed to score with a precise shot that left goalkeeper Ivor Pandur with no opportunity to react.
Hull almost leveled the score with a free-kick from Abdulkadir Omar, but Michael Cooper, the goalkeeper for Sheffield United, made an amazing save to deny him.
In the second half, the visiting team increased their lead when substitute McCallum expertly finished off a great pass from Andre Brooks.
Marvin Mehlem came close to giving the Tigers a chance to get back into the game, but his header hit the crossbar. As a result, Hull remains in 19th place on the league table and is still searching for their first win of the season.
