Hugh Grant donates £20,000 to Burnley charity Depher
Hugh Grant, a well-known actor in Hollywood, and his spouse Anna, have generously given £20,000 to a charitable organization that deals with plumbing and heating in East Lancashire.
Depher CIC, a charitable organization located in Burnley, has received a generous donation from the popular star. The non-profit organization helps oppressed and disabled elderly individuals who face difficulties in warming their houses.
The pair has previously made contributions to the charitable organization, having donated an impressive sum of 55,000 pounds since October of this year.
Depher's founder, James Anderson, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting its timeliness amid the current nationwide struggle with increased living expenses.
James took to Twitter to express his gratitude for a generous donation of £20,000, which he found both amazing and humbling. He noted that this donation would be instrumental in providing hope to countless people, especially those struggling with the high cost of living, their families, and children in need.
"I hold deep admiration and affection for both of them throughout my entire existence."
Hugh Grant is a well-known actor in Britain who has been in the industry for three decades. He has taken leading roles in popular movies including Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Bridget Jones' Diary.
Anna Eberstein is a prosperous television producer from Sweden, who has established her own sock business, known as Ace Slippers.
Since its inception in 2017, Depher has provided complimentary heating and hot water services to over 39,000 households.
Before, James referred to Hugh as a "Deity" and a "Rescuer".
James posted on Twitter that the charity used a portion of the most recent contribution to buy presents for kids in the locality to celebrate the holiday.
He wrote: "Many kids will have an unforgettable Christmas where they will witness the generosity, kindness, and affection of others. I extend my gratitude towards Hugh Grant and Anna Grant for their contributions towards making this happen."
