Authorities have reported that Hudson Meek, a young actor, has tragically passed away after falling from a moving vehicle in Alabama.

Meek, 16, sustained injuries on December 19 while outside in Vestavia Hills, a suburb near Birmingham. He passed away two days afterward, as reported by the Jefferson County coroner’s office.

The police department in Vestavia Hills, currently looking into Meek's death, has not released any statements to the public.

Meek first appeared on screen in the 2014 movie The Santa Con and also took on parts in several television shows, such as MacGyver. However, he gained the most recognition for his performance in the 2017 film Baby Driver, where he portrayed a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s main character.

"Though he only spent 16 years in this world, he achieved a tremendous amount and left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered," was shared in a post on Meek's Instagram.

Meek was a football player at Vestavia Hills High School, where he took pleasure in Bible study with his fellow players and had the opportunity to visit all 50 states. He had a passion for snow skiing, creating music playlists for his friends, and participating in the school choir, as mentioned in his obituary.

His family is organizing a funeral and memorial service for Saturday, which will be streamed live on Meek's Instagram account.
