Hellboy: The Crooked Man – First trailer for movie from comic book’s creator

Hellboy: The Crooked Man

After Guillermo del Toro's fantasy films in 2004 and 2008 with Ron Pearlman, and Neil Marshall's action movie in 2019 starring David Harbour from Stranger Things, now we have a new version of Hellboy in the movie called Hellboy: The Crooked Man. This time, the movie leans more towards horror, adding a new twist to our beloved cigar-smoking red hero.

Take a look at the preview trailer...

The newest film was co-authored by Mike Mignola, the creator of the original Hellboy comic book in 1994, and Christopher Golden, known for his writing on Buffy The Vampire Slayer books and related projects, as well as his work on Mignola's Hellboy comics.

Derived from the comic book series created by Mignola and illustrated by Richard Corben, Hellboy: The Crooked Man was originally released in July 2008 and takes place in the 1950s. The story revolves around a new member of the BPRD (Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense) who joins forces with Hellboy to safeguard the people of Appalachia from the sinister Crooked Man, a soul collector working for the devil.

In the upcoming film Hellboy: The Crooked Man, Brian Taylor from the movie Crank will be directing. The main character, Big Red, will be played by Jack Kesy from 12 Strong, with co-stars including Adeline Rudolph from Resident Evil, Jefferson White from Yellowstone, Leah McNamara from Vikings, Joseph Marcell from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale as The Crooked Man.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be arriving shortly.
