Top civil servant referenced in 'misogynistic' messages to give inquiry evidence
Boris Johnson in the company of Dominic Cummings
An ex-high-ranking government official, who was harshly criticized by Dominic Cummings in highly explicit WhatsApp messages, is expected to make an appearance in the Covid-19 investigation.
On Wednesday at 10am, there will be an interrogation of Helen MacNamara, the previous deputy cabinet secretary, concerning the administration's reaction to the pandemic.
On Tuesday, the inquiry was presented with WhatsApp messages that showed Mr. Cummings referred to Ms. MacNamara as "that vulgar term" and threatened to "restrain her with handcuffs and forcibly remove her" from Downing Street.
"I have no preference for the method, but we need to remove that woman from our affairs. It's impossible to navigate through the shambolic state of Britain while also avoiding verbal attacks from her," he typed.
Mr. Cummings refuted the accusation of exhibiting misogynistic behavior during his tenure at Downing Street.
During the initial phase of the pandemic, Ms MacNamara composed a report about the Government's top-level culture. In her report, she discovered that female staff were frequently disregarded and spoken over, and that higher-ups were not reprimanded for displaying improper conduct.

"Johnson To Provide 'Full Account' In Inquiry"
Oliver Dowden, the Deputy Prime Minister, has stated that Boris Johnson is committed to providing a comprehensive recounting of his actions throughout the pandemic to the Covid Inquiry.
He expressed that the investigation is receiving evidence that is biased and incomplete. It is now the responsibility of Lady Justice Hallett to thoroughly examine all the information and make the appropriate conclusions.
When asked about Dominic Cummings' claims that the Government was not functioning well at the start of the pandemic, Mr. Downde responded by saying that everyone has their own perspective on how things were handled.
We have exposed everything for you to see. We have declared that there is nothing hidden.
"Johnson's Final Messages To Cummings Disclosed"
Yesterday, the investigation received testimony from Dominic Cummings, Boris Johnson's previous top assistant, which included multiple WhatsApp messages filled with profanity.
In November 2020, he left Downing Street and soon after, he restricted Mr. Johnson's access on WhatsApp.
In his last communications with Mr. Cummings, Mr. Johnson expressed that Number 10 was suffering from a "repulsive exhibition of self-obsession."
The above image is a prime example of the devastation caused by climate change. As temperatures rise, the polar ice caps melt, and sea levels continue to rise. This puts millions of people living in coastal areas at risk of losing their homes and even their lives. It's imperative that we take action to address the root causes of climate change and work towards a more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. The clock is ticking, and we cannot afford to wait any longer. Let's work together to make a positive impact and protect our planet.
Who's Helen MacNamara?
Helen MacNamara significantly contributed to the management of the Covid-19 outbreak as a highly-ranked government representative.
The investigation has discovered that she wrote a document during the initial stages of the global health crisis about the work environment in high-ranking government circles.
The research revealed that women employees were constantly experiencing interruptions and disregard, while the higher-ups were permitting inappropriate actions.
Ms MacNamara gained attention for supplying a karaoke device for a lockdown gathering held at Downing Street.
The Metropolitan Police imposed a penalty on her for her involvement in the farewell party, and she expressed remorse for her "mistake in decision-making".
After she left the civil service, she landed a significant position at the Premier League. However, her tenure was shorter than two years.
This morning in West London, Helen MacNamara was the first person to provide testimony to the inquiry regarding Covid.
David Halpern, the previous CEO of the Behavioural Insights Team, will take over from the ex-deputy cabinet secretary.
