Authorities have initiated a global search for the husband of a woman whose body was discovered in the trunk of a car, located 100 miles from her residence. It is believed that he has left the country.

Authorities have published a surveillance photo of Pankaj Lamba, whom they suspect of killing 24-year-old Harshita Brella earlier this month. They report that he left the country on Sunday.

Ms. Brella was found in the trunk of a car on Brisbane Road in Ilford after investigators discovered that her house in the quiet town of Corby, Northamptonshire, was unoccupied.

In response to concerns for her safety, officers received no reply at her residence on Skegness Walk. They quickly initiated a rapid search to locate her.

Their search took them to an abandoned car in east London, where they found Ms. Brella's body in the trunk, approximately 95.7 miles from her residence.

An examination conducted at Leicester Royal Infirmary confirmed that Harshita had been killed.

Northamptonshire Police have reported themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) after revealing that their officers had interacted with Ms. Bella prior to her death.

Chief Inspector Paul Cash from Northamptonshire Police stated, “Our investigations suggest that Harshita was killed earlier this month in Northamptonshire by her husband, Pankaj Lamba.”

We believe that Lamba drove Harshita's body from Northamptonshire to Ilford.

"We think he has left the country by now."

The police have published a photo of Mr. Lamba and are asking anyone who might have information, regardless of how minor it may seem, to get in touch with them.

The Northants Telegraph reports that Harshita Brell was once a victim of domestic abuse and two months ago, she was placed under a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) by the Northampton Magistrates Court.

Authorities are asking anyone who might have information that could help with the investigation into Harshita Brella’s death to step forward.

In a recent announcement, Chief Inspector Paul Cash from Northamptonshire Police urged anyone who has seen anything unusual in the past week or possesses any information, even if it seems minor, to reach out to the authorities.

"We would much prefer to get helpful information, even if it turns out to be wrong, rather than not receiving anything at all."

He mentioned, “If anyone has information that could assist investigators in finding Harshita's murderer, please reach out to the incident room by dialing 101 and referencing the incident number Operation Westcott.”
