Harry Kane 'to ask Tottenham to listen to offers' as Man Utd eye £90m transfer

Spurs fell to another disappointing defeat on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by Leeds and their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League are all but over

Harry Kane will reportedly ask Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to consider any offers for him this summer as Spurs' hopes of Champions League qualification were effectively ended on Saturday.

The England captain has had another sensational season personally, and sits top of the Premier League scoring charts with 21 goals as well as having created more assists than any other player with 13 in the division.

Despite his heroics Spurs have still struggled, and their 3-1 loss to Leeds at Elland Road has all but killed off any lingering hopes of finishing in the top four.

And according to The Sun this could be the final straw for Kane, who feels that Spurs can no longer match his ambitions to win trophies and regularly challenge for major honours.

They claim that although he will stop short of handing in a transfer request, Kane will plead with Levy to keep an open mind to any bids that do come in.

Manchester United are among those believed to be interested in the 27-year-old, and are thought to be lining up a £90m offer.

Whether that is enough to tempt Levy to sell is doubtful, however, especially given that Kane's current contract runs until 2024.

Levy may be hoping that appointing a big-name new manager at the end of the season may change Kane's mind, but there is no doubt that there is pressure rising on the Spurs chief.

Supporters are already furious with the part he played in the European Super League farce, and were also left angry with the decision for tickets for their final home game of the season against Aston Villa to be priced at £60.

The departure of the talismanic Kane would certainly not help relations between Levy and the fans, and he will no doubt attempt to do everything in his power to keep the striker at the club.
