Hannah Kobayashi Found Safe, Mysteries Remain

Hannah Kobayashi, the Hawaii photographer who had been missing, has been located safe and sound, as confirmed by her family. However, there are still numerous questions surrounding the circumstances of her disappearance. The 30-year-old went missing after she missed a flight connection to New York City and became stranded in Los Angeles. Security footage later showed her crossing into Mexico, and the police classified her as a voluntarily missing person.

Hannah's family expressed deep relief and gratitude at her safe return, but they didn't disclose any details about when, where, or how she was discovered, nor the reasons behind her disappearance. However, DailyMail.com has reported that they have uncovered the true cause of Hannah's vanishing.

What Happened To Hannah Kobayashi?

The article mentioned that Hannah's vanishing was linked to a marriage for a green card with Alan Cacace, who is originally from Argentina. Throughout this ordeal, she was said to be accompanied by Cacace, her ex-boyfriend Amun Muniz-Miranda, and Muniz-Miranda's wife for immigration purposes, Marianne, who also happened to be Cacace's girlfriend.

Cacace reportedly proposed to Hannah that he would pay her $15,000, and he assured her that he would give her the same amount again once he obtained the necessary immigration paperwork to live in the United States.

Hannah, who was employed at a smoke shop in Maui called Up 'N Smoke, actually shared photos of their fake wedding in October with her coworkers. Cacace believed that taking pictures in front of iconic places like the Empire State Building and Central Park would make the wedding seem genuine. According to Hannah's coworker Desiree, the couple from Argentina supposedly decided to join the trip at the last minute because it offered a great chance to take photos that would showcase their love.

Hannah's coworkers mentioned that although she was excited about going to New York City, she felt a bit down about having to spend time with her ex. Additionally, the fact that she would be with the Argentinian couple made things more complicated for her. She was frustrated that she wouldn’t be able to experience the trip on her own terms and would have to follow the couple's plans instead.

Hannah's family had set up a GoFundMe campaign that raised more than $47,000 to cover expenses for her search and her father Ryan Kobayashi's funeral. Ryan tragically died by suicide during the efforts to find Hannah. Now, the page has been updated to inform contributors that donations are no longer being accepted, and anyone wishing to request a refund can do so until December 18.
