On Thursday at 3:30 a.m., she left the Chillicothe Correctional Center without much attention. A journalist present at the location reported that she wasn't visible when she departed from the area where reporters are stationed.

In an announcement made earlier this year, the Missouri Department of Corrections shared that Blanchard will be freed from the Chillicothe Correctional Center situated in the northern part of the state. This move comes after the state approved her parole application. Blanchard, who is 32 years old, will be released on Thursday.

After being set free, Blanchard expressed her desire to have a meeting with Taylor Swift, as she claims the artist is a great source of inspiration for her. This declaration was made during an interview with TMZ.

The person who was found guilty of a crime has shared with the press that they possess admission passes for a Kansas City Chiefs match on the night of December 31 and is yearning to meet their favorite person at Arrowhead Stadium.

In July 2016, Blanchard acknowledged her fault for second-degree murder with respect to the fatality of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

She received a punishment of a decade in prison.

Authorities revealed that Gypsy Blanchard persuaded her former partner, Nicholas Godejohn, to fatally wound her mother in 2015. He received a life sentence for the crime.

During the court hearing, Gypsy Blanchard gave an account of how her mother compelled her to utilize a wheelchair and subjected her to unwarranted medical examinations to amass presents and donations from charitable causes.

She also disclosed that she had premeditated her mother's murder, weighing up methods such as using poison, setting fire to the house, or utilizing a firearm.

As per the investigators, Dee Dee Blanchard exploited her daughter's disability to gain empathy and deceive individuals into providing financial aid.

Many people think that Gypsy Blanchard was a victim of a type of abuse called Munchausen by proxy. This type of abuse is rare and occurs when a caregiver pretends that a child is sick to receive attention and sympathy. The Cleveland Clinic also refers to this type of abuse as Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another.

The incident gained widespread attention across the country and resulted in the creation of two television productions: the 2017 documentary "Mommy Dead and Dearest" by HBO, as well as the 2019 Hulu miniseries "The Act."

Gypsy Blanchard will release an eBook named "Released" on January 9th through the publishing company Penguin Random House. The book will contain transcripts from interviews and diary entries that will present her perspective on the events. This decision came after her story was covered by the media and portrayed by others.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is scheduled to narrate her personal journey in Lifetime's latest docuseries titled "The Jail Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," debuting on January 5th.

The Blanchards relocated to Springfield, Missouri, in 2006 from Louisiana because Hurricane Katrina had forced them to leave.

In a recent conversation with PEOPLE, Gypsy Blanchard expressed her remorse about orchestrating her mother's murder, but explained that she felt trapped and had to escape the abusive situation.

Reflecting on the past, she expressed that she regrets not sharing her mother's actions with her extended relatives or reporting the matter to the authorities.

According to PEOPLE, she confessed that she never utters the words, “I am happy that she passed away” or “I take pride in what I did”. She expressed that she remorsefully thinks about it every day.
