It's been a whole decade since Grand Theft Auto V was released in September. However, any news regarding a follow-up installation has been pretty hard to come by. Though, there was a sneak peek in August 2022, most of what Rockstar Games has been up to is just constantly updating the widely popular Grand Theft Auto Online, even if it's mainly kept under wraps.
At last, we have some exciting updates to share! Rockstar has officially revealed that it will be commemorating its 25th year in the gaming industry by December 2023, as well as unveiling a fresh trailer for the sequel of their popular game, GTA. This information was made public on November 8th.

Rockstar has officially announced that the initial trailer for their upcoming release will debut on the 5th of December, 2023 at 9 in the morning EST. It was previously speculated that the grand reveal would take place during the Video Game Awards on the 7th of December, but those assumptions have now been disproved. It's worth noting that Rockstar has a history of deviating from industry norms by avoiding events like E3 long before other companies followed suit.

Rockstar has expressed their gratitude towards their followers on Twitter, mentioning that they wouldn't have achieved what they have without the support of their audience. They also expressed their appreciation for their journey together with their followers.
The blog post continues by saying that Rockstar Games was established in 1998 with the belief that video games could become just as significant in popular culture as various other types of entertainment.
Hidden or concealed within the honest declaration was a subtle disclosure of information.
"We are thrilled to announce that the initial preview for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto will be launched in the beginning of December. We anticipate numerous years of continuing to present these adventures with our entire community."
What's still a mystery to us?
The announcement didn't specify whether the upcoming game will be named GTA 6 or adopt a title based on a particular location, such as Vice City and San Andreas.
There have been speculations circulating for some time that the upcoming release would revisit Vice City, and the trees that are predominantly featured in the trailer seem to support that notion.
In addition, a user named X account shared a screenshot of a message from Rockstar Games regarding the countdown for the GTA 6 trailer.
Rockstar Games has recently released some merchandise that features an "IVC" sticker and socks with a Vice City theme. This merchandise was released in anticipation of Rockstar Games' planned reveal of GTA 6 in December.
There is a lot of talk that Rockstar has basically confirmed that Vice City will be the location of the new game.
