Great North Run

Marc Scott from Northallerton came in second place at this year's Great North Run.

The 30-year-old runner, who won the prestigious race in 2021, finished the men's elite race with an impressive time of 1:01:11, coming in second place behind Abel Kipchumba. He is only the second British runner to win the race since 1985.
