ITV is bringing back the well-loved detective show Grace, set in Brighton, for its fifth season.

Four long-awaited movies will be released featuring John Simm as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace in the crime drama.

Grace has become extremely popular among fans since it premiered its initial season in March of 2021.

The upcoming season will feature four full-length movies, which will be shown on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.

The highly anticipated season four of Grace is set to debut on September 1st at 8pm on ITV, with promises of being the most exciting series yet.

ITV has renewed the well-loved detective show Grace, set in Brighton, for a fifth season starring John Simm as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace.

The blog announces the upcoming release of four highly anticipated full-length films starring John Simm as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace in the crime drama. The picture shows Simm alongside Richie Campbell as DS Branson on the left.

The fifth season will include titles such as Dead If You Don't, Dead At First Sight, Need You Dead, and Find Them Dead.

The show is based on the popular books written by the acclaimed Peter James, and in every episode, a new, terrible crime must be solved.

Penned by the highly praised scriptwriter Russell Lewis, the show centers around Detective Grace, based in Brighton, as he finds himself at a low point in his life.

Six years ago, Roy's wife Sandy went missing. Since then, he has been dedicating countless hours to researching difficult unsolved cases.

However, his unique methods of working have come under scrutiny by his superiors, putting his job in jeopardy.

When it seemed like he had no future, things took a turn for the better for him when his co-worker Detective Glenn Branson reached out for assistance with a challenging investigation.

The initial season adapted a single book, while the following two seasons incorporated multiple novels in each. It is anticipated that this trend will persist for the upcoming two seasons.

In the upcoming season, we can expect to see returning actors like Richie Campbell as DS Glenn Branson, Zoë Tapper playing Cleo Morey, Laura Elphinstone as DS Bella Moy, Brad Morrison in the role of DC Nick Nicholl, and Sam Hoare as ACC Cassian Pewe.

The upcoming season will showcase four full-length movies that will be broadcasted on ITV1, ITVX, STV, and STV Player.

Several well-known actors will also make a comeback, such as Richie Campbell reprising his role as DS Branson and Laura Elphinstone returning as DS Bella Moy.

Discussing the comeback of the popular show, executive producer Phil Hunter expressed his excitement about Grace returning for a fifth season. He also mentioned his enthusiasm for adapting four more of Peter's amazing books for ITV.

I am excited to meet the team that will be working on my first series. I am grateful to be collaborating with a group of highly skilled individuals who are dedicated to creating a show they are passionate about.

Writer Peter James remarked: 'The premiere of Grace in 2021 was a realization of a long-held aspiration.'

I find it truly inspiring and incredible that we've reached series five already!

The ongoing triumph of Grace can be attributed to the exceptional group of actors led by John Simm and the dedicated fans who have supported and connected with these characters in the book and now on the screen.

This also shows how well ITV has stayed true to the characters and stories in the novels.

The premiere date for season five has not been announced yet.
