It has been revealed that Grace Dent, a well-known journalist, could be among the 10 famous personalities embarking on a journey to the I’m A Celebrity wilderness as the new season kicks off this week. However, it has come to light that she hasn't always expressed positive views about the program.

Grace is well-known for her role as a TV judge and food critic. She is also passionate about vegan sausages. However, she has also expressed her thoughts on popular culture and shared her insights as a commentator. In fact, she has written extensively about I'm A Celebrity for The Independent back in 2012.

To put it bluntly, the television show known as "I'm A Celeb" is not exactly a high-class form of entertainment that everyone enjoys. This program centers around immature attempts to go without food, struggles with bowel movements on camera, and mistreatment of animals. And all of this is cut short by commercials for cheap meals from Iceland costing only £1.

I close my blinds tightly before getting comfortable to watch I'm A Celeb. I'm worried that merely hearing the theme song could reduce the value of my property.

Nonetheless, Grace acknowledged in the equivalent article that she frequently watches I'm A Celebrity, even though she had expressed disapproval of the show. She mentioned that the excitement surrounding famous figures like Nadine Dorries, a Conservative politician who joined the cast that season, intrigued her to the extent that she simply had to tune in and see what it was all about.

It was confirmed on Monday night that Grace will have nine additional campmates on the new series. Some of the new campmates include Nigel Farage, the previous leader of UKIP, and Jamie Lynn, the younger sibling of Britney Spears.

Grace shared with ITV that she's feeling an intense feeling of apprehension. She's particularly concerned about going hungry since she usually eats four or five upscale restaurant meals every week as part of her job as a restaurant critic.

I am aware that they will conduct a food test on me, and I am extremely anxious about having to taste things that are even more repulsive than what I have encountered before in high-end dining establishments. I anticipate that my articles about the regional cuisine will be overly formal and unenthusiastic once I complete the trial.

Grace shared why she decided to join by saying, "I've had a challenging past few years. I had to take care of my dad, who had dementia, and later, he passed away. My mom also had cancer and unfortunately, she also passed away."

In my opinion, this experience has made me extremely robust and able to bounce back from tough situations. It's going to be quite the undertaking, but as I've grown older, I've come to realize that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. That's one of the primary reasons why I agreed to take on this challenge.

Grace Dent attended the unveiling of ABBA Voyage back in 2020.

She said: "I'm committed to not being the first to leave. And if I can make it pretty far, I'll be really happy."

"I don't desire any modifications to my life upon completion of this program. I am content with the way things are, but I must admit that this will be an exciting and formidable endeavor."

The show known as "I'm A Celebrity" will air again on Sunday night at 9 pm on the TV channel ITV1. You can see a list of all the participants who will be featured on the show.
