The team behind the Glastonbury Festival has revealed a new ticket purchasing system for 2025 that will include a waiting line.
The update was officially announced on Tuesday, November 5th, just before the sales taking place on November 14th and 17th.
The procedure for making reservations in 2025 will remain consistent with previous years, but the method of entering the booking process is being updated, according to an announcement on the Glastonbury website.
Instead of constantly reloading the holding page in hopes of reaching the booking page, this year, at the start of ticket sales (either at 6 PM or 9 AM), everyone on the glastonbury.seetickets.com website will automatically be placed in a random order in a queue to enter the booking process.
The announcement indicated that anyone who connects after the sale begins will be placed at the end of the line. Therefore, it's essential to be online and prepared a few minutes prior to the sale starting.
As individuals wait in line, a progress meter will show how far along they are in getting to the booking page.
Glastonbury enthusiasts are advised to avoid refreshing the page or using different devices or browser tabs, as this could result in them losing their spot in the queue.
When they arrive at the front of the line, they'll need to provide the registration number and postcode for the main booker, as well as that information for up to five additional individuals for whom they want to purchase tickets.
People who purchase tickets have 10 minutes to finish their order before their session times out, but at this stage, the tickets are not yet assigned.
Next, they will need to verify the names of the individuals for whom they are purchasing tickets, as these cannot be altered after the booking is confirmed.

After verifying all the details, fans will be directed to the payment page. Here, they'll need to confirm their billing address and provide payment details. They'll also need to accept the terms and conditions before finishing the checkout process within the given time frame.
Fans are advised not to minimize or close the tab at this stage. Tickets won't be assigned until the payment has been successfully completed.
Tickets for coach travel will be available starting at 6pm GMT on Thursday, November 14. General admission tickets will go on sale at 9am GMT on Sunday, November 17.
Festival tickets will only be available for purchase at glastonbury.seetickets.com.
Fans can secure up to six tickets in one transaction by making a £75 deposit for each person when ticket sales open. If they choose the ticket and coach travel option, they will also need to pay for the coach fare.
The rest of the amount is due during the first week of April 2025, specifically from 9 AM BST on Tuesday, April 1, to 11:59 PM BST on Monday, April 7.
Ticket registration ends at 5 PM GMT on Monday, November 11th.
