The 51 men convicted of raping and assaulting Gisele Pelicot

The French media gave them the nickname "Mr. Everyman," and for over ten years, these individuals invaded Gisele Pelicot's bedroom and assaulted her while she was unconscious, having been drugged by the person she relied on the most.

The majority resided within 35 miles of Dominique Pelicot and his spouse, and a few were even familiar to Gisele.

For a decade, 72-year-old Dominique Pelicot consistently drugged his wife and brought in unknown individuals to take advantage of her, promoting their activities on a French swingers' site.

Some individuals rejected the allegations of rape, arguing that they thought Ms. Pelicot had consented to being drugged and willingly took part in a sexual game with her partner.

Every man was found guilty of at least one crime, with almost all of them convicted of rape, following a trial that sent shockwaves through France and garnered global attention. Gisele demanded the proceedings be open to the public, declaring in court, "The shame does not belong to us, but to those men."

Dominique has received a 20-year prison sentence. During the trial, his daughter expressed to him that he would "end up dying alone in prison, just like a dog."

The remaining 50 men, who received sentences totaling over 400 years, were generally given lighter punishments than what the prosecution requested. Five of these men—Jacques C, Philippe L, Hugues M, Joseph C, and Saifeddine G—were granted suspended sentences and left the courthouse today without serving time. The others have a 10-day period to file an appeal.

Here are the individuals found guilty of raping or assaulting Gisele Pelicot. Under French law, their full names cannot be disclosed until the appeals process is completed.

Cyprien C, a 44-year-old truck driver, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2017. He received a six-year prison sentence for his crime.

Jerome V, a 43-year-old employee at a grocery store, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele six times at her residence in 2020. He received a 13-year prison sentence.

Abdelali D, a 47-year-old ex-chef, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele on two occasions at her residence in 2018. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Jean-Luc L, a 46-year-old carpenter, was convicted of raping Gisele on two occasions at her residence in 2018 and 2019. He has received a 10-year prison sentence.

Romain V, a 63-year-old man who is now retired, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele on six occasions between December 2019 and January 2020. He received a 15-year prison sentence for his crimes.

Ludovick B, a 39-year-old retail worker, was convicted of raping Gisele twice at her residence in 2019. Footage showed him warming his hands by a radiator. He received a seven-year prison sentence.

Paul G, a 31-year-old worker, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2016. He has been given an eight-year prison sentence.

Saifeddine G, a 37-year-old truck driver, was convicted of raping Gisele in her home in 2019. He received a three-year prison sentence, but two years of that sentence were suspended.

Omar D, a 36-year-old maintenance employee, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her home in 2017. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Cedric G, a 50-year-old IT technician, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2017. He received a 12-year prison sentence for his crime.

Gregory S, a 31-year-old decorator and painter, was convicted of raping Gisele in 2017. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Adrien L, a 34-year-old construction supervisor, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her home back in 2014. He received a six-year prison sentence for his crime.

Jean-Marc L, a 74-year-old retiree, was convicted of assaulting Gisele on two occasions at her residence in 2017. He received a sentence of six years in prison.

Ahmed T, a 54-year-old plumber, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received an eight-year prison sentence for his crime.

Dominique D, a 45-year-old truck driver, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele on six occasions in her residence from 2015 to 2020. He received a prison sentence of 13 years.

Cyril B, a 47-year-old truck driver, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received a nine-year prison sentence for his crime.

Mahdi D, a 36-year-old employee in the transportation sector, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Mohamed R, a 70-year-old retiree, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at a vacation property on Ile de Re in 2019. He received an eight-year prison sentence for his crime.

Redouane A, a 40-year-old man without a job, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele on two occasions in her residence in 2019. He received a nine-year prison sentence.

Thierry P, a 61-year-old artisan, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2020. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Patrice N, a 55-year-old electrician, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in 2020. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Patrick A, a 60-year-old man without a job, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received a six-year prison sentence.

Hugues M, a 39-year-old tile installer, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received a five-year prison sentence, with two years deferred.

Mathieu D, a 53-year-old banker, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2020. He received a seven-year prison sentence.

Jean T, a 52-year-old roofing contractor, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Thierry P, a 54-year-old ex-contractor, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2020. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Simone M, a 43-year-old who worked as a gamekeeper and later as a driver, was convicted of raping Gisele in her home in 2018. He has received a nine-year prison sentence.

Karim S, a 40-year-old IT technician, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2020. He has received a 10-year prison sentence.

Didier S, a 68-year-old man who is now retired, was convicted of committing rape against Gisele in her home back in 2019. As a result, he received a five-year prison sentence.

Vincent C, a 43-year-old ex-carpenter, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele on two occasions at her residence in 2019 and 2020. He has been sentenced to a decade behind bars.

Redouan E, a 55-year-old nurse, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Fabien S, a 39-year-old laborer, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received an 11-year prison sentence.

Andy R, a 37-year-old man without a job, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her house on New Year's Eve in 2018. He received a six-year prison sentence.

Joan K, a 27-year-old military personnel, was convicted of assaulting Gisele on two occasions at her residence in 2019 and 2020. He received a 10-year prison sentence.

Husamettin D, a 43-year-old businessman, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her residence in 2019. He received a prison sentence of nine years.

Christian L, a 56-year-old firefighter, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received a nine-year prison sentence for his crime.

Nicolas F, a 42-year-old reporter, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received an eight-year prison sentence for his crime.

Boris M, a 37-year-old operations manager, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2020. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Philippe L, a 62-year-old gardener, has been convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2018. He received a five-year prison sentence, although it has been suspended for a period of two years.

Nizar H, a 41-year-old man without a job, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her home in 2020. He received a sentence of 10 years in prison.

Charly A, a 30-year-old temporary employee, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele six times at her residence from 2016 to 2022. He was the youngest of those accused, having first gone to the Pelicot home when he was 22 years old. He received a 13-year prison sentence.

Joseph C., a 69-year-old retiree, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence. He received a three-year prison sentence, but it was suspended for two years.

Jean-Pierre M, a 63-year-old agricultural worker, was convicted of drugging his wife and orchestrating her assault on twelve separate occasions. He received a 12-year prison sentence for his actions.

Lionel R, a 44-year-old salesman, worked at the store where Dominique was involved in secretly filming women. This discovery prompted investigators to uncover Lionel's pattern of misconduct. He was convicted of raping Gisele at her house in 2018 and received an eight-year prison sentence.

Cyrille D, a 54-year-old worker, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received an eight-year prison sentence.

Jacques C, a 73-year-old former firefighter, was convicted of assaulting Gisele in her residence back in 2020. He received a five-year prison sentence, which has been suspended for a period of three years.

Quentin H, a 34-year-old emergency medical technician, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received a seven-year prison sentence.

Florian R, a 32-year-old delivery driver, was convicted of raping Gisele at her residence in 2019. He received a sentence of seven years in prison.

Cendric V, a 44-year-old who manages a restaurant, has been convicted of raping Gisele on two occasions at her residence, once in 2016 and again in 2018. He received a nine-year prison sentence for his actions.

Hassan O, a 30-year-old individual, was convicted of sexually assaulting Gisele in her residence in 2018. He is currently evading authorities and was declared guilty in his absence, receiving a 12-year prison sentence.
