The two best friends took their cosplay skills up a notch when they showed up at the red carpet for the premiere of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie on July 22, 2024, in New York City. They perfectly channeled the main characters played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

If there's one thing we can take away from the Barbie red carpet events, it's that fully embracing a theme is essential for a successful red carpet appearance. That's why it was so exciting to see Lively and Hadid sporting matching outfits inspired by Deadpool and Wolverine. It was a win for the online world, for sure.
Blake Lively went all the way with her outfit, mirroring her husband's costume in the film series. The former Gossip Girl star sported a personalized red bodysuit by Versace, with black lace detailing throughout the ensemble. It was a playful and stylish tribute to Reynolds' character. Her hair was styled in a high ponytail, and she selected various pieces of jewelry to complement her look.
Even though Jackman and Hadid are not actually dating like Reynolds and Lively (Hadid is currently with Bradley Cooper), the model still took inspiration from Wolverine's iconic yellow X-Men costume for her premiere outfit. She rocked a unique leather Miu Miu yellow top and pleated skirt combo from the brand's spring-summer 2024 collection. Completing the look with a matching yellow purse, black pumps, a tan belt, and a chic side-parted blonde bob.
In the evening, Lively and Hadid were once again outside in their cosplay outfits. Lively changed into a short red dress, while Hadid wore a yellow coat.
We have observed this pair strutting around New York City with their group of friends, which includes Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner. It was expected that they would walk the red carpet together, but we were pleasantly surprised by their level of matching outfits.
