British supermodel Georgina Cooper has passed away at the age of 46, just a few months following her wedding.

Dean Goodman, Cooper’s previous agent, shared the news of her passing in a statement on Friday, November 8. She passed away on the Greek island of Kos, shortly after marrying her husband, Nigel, during the summer.

“She had a deep affection for Greece and mentioned that she was planning to return there with her new husband. Sadly, she passed away there just two weeks ago,” Goodman shared in a statement to MailOnline.

"Georgina faced health issues while dealing with Covid, resulting in multiple hospital visits," he mentioned, adding that she still had aspirations for the future.

"She had recently tied the knot and was excited about her future. Everyone is heartbroken. She truly was a remarkable talent," he shared. However, he did not disclose what led to her passing.

Cooper gained recognition in the 1990s after she starred in a Bon Jovi music video at the age of 15. Following that, she appeared in fashion shows across London and graced the covers of renowned magazines like US Vogue and The Face. Throughout her journey, she was famously referred to as the "original gap-toothed girl."

She took a break from the limelight to prepare for the arrival of her child, Sonny. In 2018, she shared her thoughts on her work in the hospitality industry, expressing how her main priority was her family.

"I’m employed in the hospitality field, and I truly enjoy it because I’m someone who loves interacting with others. After my son was born, I found it incredibly difficult to be away from him; it was important for me to be present in his life. I attempted to keep up with my modeling career, but it was heartbreaking to leave him to go to work," she shared with The Culture Omnivore back then. "I concentrated on modeling gigs in London, but my life was at a turning point, and I made the choice to prioritize Sonny."

In June, she tied the knot with her husband, Nigel. The couple had a small wedding ceremony at her house in Kent, followed by a reception at a nearby pub. They then enjoyed their honeymoon in Kos.

Other models have expressed heartfelt tributes to Cooper, with Jada Parfitt stating that Cooper’s “friends and family are truly heartbroken” over her passing.

"Georgina was a breath of fresh air—a highly sought-after model known for her vibrant personality and playful spirit. She brought joy and laughter to everyone around her, and we all loved spending time with her behind the scenes. Her success in the modeling world was remarkable," Parfitt shared with MailOnline.

Goodman also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, posting several pictures of Cooper from her modeling career. He expressed how "heartbroken" he felt about her death and reminisced about the pleasure he had as her agent in the early 2000s.

“I’ve shared so many adventures with her, from New York to Milan, and we always had a great time,” he wrote in his post. “I’m completely in disbelief. We just spoke not long ago about getting together after her recent wedding. She was the first gap-toothed girl I knew! I will miss her dearly. Rest in peace, Georgie girl. You will always be in my heart, and I look forward to seeing you again someday.”
