The 84-year-old Australian actor took over the role of the second official James Bond after Sean Connery.

He has been staying out of the spotlight in recent years, following accusations of making inappropriate remarks during a public interview in Australia in 2022.

Lazenby's debut acting role was in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where he played a major part. He claimed it was his choice to leave the role following the movie in 1969, but he faced challenges in landing other significant acting opportunities.

He also made other movies like The Man from Hong Kong in 1975 and Gettysburg in 1993.

The person from New South Wales claimed that he was banned from the industry because he was hard to work with.

He announced that he will no longer be appearing in movies, meeting fans in public, giving interviews, or signing autographs starting today.

He mentioned that he would now focus on dedicating more time to his family.
