According to Deadline's report on Tuesday, a fresh episode is currently being planned and the actors are scheduled to shoot it this summer. The hopes are to air it during Christmas, marking the fifth anniversary of the suspenseful cliffhanger.

The Welsh performer named Jones, who acted and helped develop the program with James Corden, declared that the statement was "unfortunately not true" over RTE Radio 1 on Wednesday (February 14th).

When questioned regarding the rumors, she shared: "As it seems, there's a competition occurring between the BBC and Netflix. I find it highly pleasing since they mention 'an undisclosed source'. Who exactly is this supposed source?"

Jones stated that the rumor is untrue. He mentioned that if there were any news to share about it, he and James would be forthcoming and make an announcement.

The performer who portrayed Nessa in the popular show stated that she believes the gossip began when she was captured on camera enjoying a meal with Corden some time ago. This happened right after he returned to the UK from his stay in the US where he hosted the Late Late Show.
