A picture shared on both the BBC and BBC iPlayer Instagram accounts displays the clapperboard used on the first day of filming.

James Corden, the co-creator and writer of The Late Late Show with James Corden, has shared some pictures taken on the show's set. One of the posts seems to feature Ruth Jones, who co-created the show with Corden, and Joanna Page, who plays the character Stacey in the show Men Up.

The TV show was first shown from 2007 to 2010, and made a comeback in 2019 with a special Christmas episode. The episode left viewers hanging with a surprising proposal scene, where Nessa proposed to a shocked Smithy.

Additionally, appearing in the series are Matthew Horne (known for his work in Bad Education) as Gavin, Rob Brydon (famous for his role in The Trip) as Uncle Bryn, and Alison Steadman (seen in The King's Man) as Pam.

The clapperboard picture indicates that Christine Gernon, the director of the first three series, will be coming back for the Christmas Special. Gernon has also directed episodes of One Foot in the Grave and the American version of Ghosts.

The actors were seen shooting the final scenes in Barry Island, Wales, as James Corden happily took pictures with enthusiastic supporters.

The Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special for 2024 was revealed in May and is set to air on BBC One on December 25th.
