He began his football career with Leicester City in 1978 and soon became one of their key players. He played for the club for seven years, scoring 95 goals in 194 appearances for them. Later, he played for other famous clubs such as Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, and Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan.

Lineker made 80 appearances for the English National Team and scored 48 goals in a career that spanned from 1984 to 1992. He also won the Golden Boot award in the 1986 FIFA World Cup for being the tournament's top scorer. After retirement, Lineker worked as a pundit for various TV channels during football events. He is also well-known for hosting the popular TV show, Match of the Day. Lineker's passion for football has earned him a place in the hearts of football fans all over the world.
