Fulham vs Brentford

Thank You For Being Here!

That's it from us this evening at Craven Cottage. I have to admit I was a bit concerned about what we were witnessing after the first half, but in the end, we got the excitement we were all eagerly anticipating.

What a fantastic way to kick off the football week! Tomorrow, we’ll return with our coverage of the Champions League, featuring Liverpool’s match against Bayer Leverkusen at Anfield. We’ll see you then!

"Berbatov Reacts To Fulham's Winning Goal!"

You can remove someone from Fulham, but you can't remove Fulham from the person.

Berbatov: 'Does It Matter If Wilson Meant It?'

Dimitar Berbatov, former Fulham forward, featured on Sky Sports:

"Wilson Becomes Fulham's Most Popular Man"

Written by Dominic Hogan at Craven Cottage

Just picture what Silva might have said to his team if they hadn't secured a victory. The home team registered 26 attempts on goal, while their rivals only managed five. Out of those, 12 shots were on target for the home team, compared to just two for Brentford. Additionally, they made 46 touches inside the penalty area, significantly more than Brentford’s nine.

For those who are into expected goals (xG), Fulham posted an xG of 1.37, whereas Brentford managed only 0.59, indicating a significant difference in their attacking performances.

Wilson: "They Both Went In, But Not As Expected"

Harry Wilson from Fulham recently spoke to Sky Sports:

The Ultimate Super Sub Sandwich

Came on in the 82nd minute and scored two goals just 15 minutes later to secure the win. Not a bad performance!

"Watch Wilson's Last-Minute Winner!"

Final Score: Fulham 2, Brentford 1

What an exciting conclusion at the Cottage! Fulham truly earned their victory through their hard work. With a few standout plays from Wilson, they secured the three points that propel the home team higher in the standings.

This is going to sting for Brentford. Did they really deserve the win? Maybe not, but their solid defense throughout the match was impressive enough to suggest they had worked hard for the victory.

That's all behind us now. Fulham managed to score twice in injury time, clinching the victory, and the atmosphere at Craven Cottage is electric with joy.

Fulham Beats Brentford 2-1 With Wilson's Goal

HARRY WILSON SECURES VICTORY FOR FULHAM!

What an incredible conclusion to this match! The substitute found the net for the second time, quickly changing the course of the game. Fulham truly earned this victory. Wilson emerged in the penalty area and directed a header beyond Flekken to secure the win.

Incredible Save! Fulham Vs Brentford 1-1

Leno keeps Fulham's draw intact by making an astonishing close-range save against former player Carvalho.

Fulham And Brentford Share 1-1 Draw

Harry Wilson proves me wrong with an incredible goal. The Welsh player deftly nudges a cross from the right side over Flekken's head and into the corner of the net.

Wow! Do we have enough time to come out on top?

Fulham has ample opportunity to salvage something from the match, and I have faith that they will. It seems like they could play forever, even until the US election results are announced, and still struggle to find the back of the net.

Brentford players are really going all out, putting in a tremendous effort, and it turned into a bit of a joke after the fourth defender made a block.

Fulham Falls To Brentford: 0-1 Defeat

Ben Mee comes on for Bryan Mbeumo with just five minutes remaining. Brentford changes their formation to a defensive five-man line to secure their lead as the match comes to a close.

Andersen heads the ball towards the corner after a cross from Cairney on the left, but it's tough for the defender to muster the strength needed to challenge Flekken. It seems like Fulham is struggling to come up with new strategies at this point.

Fulham Falls Short Against Brentford 0-1

Smith Rowe and Nelson have been substituted for Wilson and Cairney at the end of the match.

Things are heating up a bit. Roerslev's injury led to a pause in the game, which left Fulham's fans and coaches quite frustrated. They were especially angry that the defender was allowed to stay on the field without first exiting the pitch.

Fulham currently has 67 percent of the ball, with a total of 16 shots, seven of which are on target. Despite this dominance, they're trailing in the match. On the other hand, Brentford has taken just one additional shot since the start of the second half.

It seems that Frank's primary goal for training this week has been strengthening our defense. Looks like we’ve been caught off guard, everyone!

Fulham Falls Short: Brentford Wins 1-0

Damsgaard, Wissa, and Lewis-Potter come off the field to make way for Jensen, Schade, and Carvalho, whose entry has been met with loud boos from the crowd.

Fulham has also made some substitutions, bringing on Castagne and Muniz in place of Jiminez and Tete.

"Fulham Vs. Brentford: A Close Call!"

Traore creates an opportunity with some impressive moves down the wing, passing to Bassey who is positioned at the edge of the penalty area. However, the Nigerian's shot lacked power and was comfortably saved by Flekken.

If it wasn’t the case earlier, it’s completely Fulham now. The home team is pouring on the pressure with attack after attack, but Brentford is holding strong. Since the substitution, the Cottagers have shifted their strategy a bit, focusing on delivering a lot of crosses into the box.

Fulham Falls To Brentford: 0-1 Loss

Adama Traore is now on the field, replacing Pereira. This means Iwobi is likely to move into a more defensive role.

The atmosphere is charged right now... just take a look at Marco Silva. His squad is still pushing hard, but Brentford is standing strong. Adjustments are on the way.

Brentford Edges Out Fulham 1-0

A few minutes ago, Lewis-Potter made a great run behind the defenders and had another opportunity to capitalize on his promising situation. The young winger got a pass from Norgaard on the left side, then dribbled inward and attempted a shot from just outside the penalty area.

Sadly for Frank's team, he fired the shot too high, sending it sailing over the goal when he really should have at least made contact with the target.

"Yellow Card: Fulham Falls 0-1 To Brentford"

Ouch! Roerslev gets the first yellow card of the game for a late challenge on Smith Rowe. It didn't seem like there was any intention to hurt; he just got to the ball before the former Arsenal midfielder did.

Brentford Edges Fulham 1-0 In Close Match

Brentford effectively moved the ball down the left side, where Lewis-Potter sent in a risky cross that Tete managed to defend successfully.

That opportunity and a few exciting plays afterward have certainly energized the Fulham fans. The players who seem the most threatening are still the same ones we saw in the first half: Nelson, Smith Rowe, and Iwobi.

Fortunately for the home team, Jiminez has begun to participate more actively. They really need to capitalize on this advantageous moment.

Brentford Edges Fulham 1-0 In Close Match

Iwobi takes a powerful shot from the outskirts of the penalty area, but it narrowly misses the target as it bends away. This was the first real moment of excitement in the half following a slow beginning. It might boost the energy of the crowd a bit.

Brentford Edges Fulham: 1-0 In Second Half

We’re back in action at Craven Cottage, and neither team made any substitutions during halftime. Marco Silva, looking quite frustrated, settled into the dugout as the game resumed. You can be sure he had a lot to say to his players before they re-entered the field.

"At Least One Goal—Maybe More?"

Written by Dominic Hogan at Craven Cottage

"Brentford Avoids Shots From Outside The Box"

There has been plenty of discussion about Brentford's knack for creating high-quality scoring opportunities this season, and then Janelt came through with an incredible goal. It felt like it was only a matter of time, right?

Half-Time: Fulham Trails Brentford 0-1

So far, the visitors have executed a classic smash-and-grab strategy. Fulham has dominated in possession, taken more shots, made more precise passes, and hit the target more often, yet they find themselves behind in the one statistic that truly counts, thanks to Janelt's stunning goal.

Although they’re ahead, Thomas Frank will be eager for his team to step up their performance in the second half. They’ll realize that if they maintain that level of play for another 45 minutes, they’re likely to end up losing the match.

For Fulham, it looks like they just have to press on. Silva will be pleased with Nelson and Smith Rowe's performances, but it's important to involve Jimenez more in the game.

The home team doesn't have much time left to score a goal and level the game before halftime.

Brentford Edges Fulham 1-0 With Stellar Save!

How have Fulham not found the back of the net?

The play shifts back to the left side once again. Iwobi sends a cross into the penalty area, where Smith Rowe jumps up to head it. However, his touch isn't quite strong enough, and the ball rebounds off the nearest defender.

Fulham vs Brentford - Figure 7
Photo Daily Mail

However, there was still an opportunity when the deflection allowed Tete to make a play, but Flekken was quick and managed to snatch the ball away from the Fulham defender.

Silva isn't feeling great, and it's easy to see why. His team is just moments away from halftime in a match they've largely controlled. It’s hard to say exactly what Fulham is lacking right now. Their buildup has been solid, and both Smith Rowe and Nelson have stood out. I suppose they simply need to improve their finishing.

Fulham is back on the attack, but once again, they're letting good opportunities slip away. Silva's team has found success on their left flank, with Nelson, Robinson, and Smith Rowe working together effectively.

This time, Robinson broke through the Brentford defense and glanced up to spot two of his teammates positioned in the center, poised to convert a cross. However, the American was unable to locate them, and yet another offensive opportunity went to waste.

Goals can shift the momentum of a match, and that’s exactly what happened here. That unexpected strike appears to have boosted the visitors' confidence, allowing them to really get into the game and perform.

That being said, the most recent action we saw was from Fulham, who could have easily compelled Flekken to make a save if it hadn't been for a clever block. Maybe there's still a lot to unfold, and I shouldn’t attempt to make any predictions.

"Fulham Faces Setback: Can They Bounce Back?"

"Janelt Scores A Screamer, Brentford Takes Lead!"

Brentford Beats Fulham 1-0: Janelt Scores

A goal that came from nowhere, completely unexpected. Forget about all that xG talk; the Brentford midfielder launches a stunning shot from around 30 yards, putting the away team ahead despite not having much momentum in the game.

The German surprises his fellow countryman Bernd Leno with a fantastic left-footed shot that finds the corner of the net. What an incredible way to net your first goal of the season!

So Close: Fulham And Brentford End In Draw

Fulham and Nelson are putting in impressive efforts, but the Arsenal winger on loan fails to capitalize on his chance from the outskirts of the penalty area. Nelson showcases his talent, outmaneuvering a couple of Bees defenders to create an opportunity to score, but he hurries his shot. His attempt with his right foot veers off target, missing Flekken's goal with the keeper caught off guard. I’d label that as the first significant opportunity of the game.

The home team is taking charge of the game at this point. They’ve held over 60 percent of possession in the first 20 minutes and have created the best scoring opportunities.

Silva is likely to feel let down if they don't get the chance to challenge Flekken further during this stretch of superiority.

Fulham And Brentford Draw 0-0

Smith Rowe and Nelson are displaying some promising performances in the initial moments of the game, but we're still anticipating the first goal or even the first significant opportunity.

Nelson made a strong run toward the penalty area but took one touch too many. Then, Smith Rowe exchanged passes with Robinson before firing a shot that was deflected out for a corner.

"Smith Rowe: The Heart Of The Action"

By Dominic Hogan at Craven Cottage

"Penalty Controversy: Fulham 0-0 Brentford"

I wouldn't have awarded that, and to be honest, VAR only took a quick look at it. Robinson accidentally touched the ball with his hand while he was battling with Mbeumo. It might be better to say that the ball hit the top part of his hand.

The referee seemed indifferent, and there weren't many fouls called against the Brentford players. A bigger worry for Brentford is the noticeable injury to their goalkeeper, Flekken.

The player is getting care after being injured on the field. We’ll find out if he can keep playing and, if he can, for how long.

Fulham And Brentford End In 0-0 Draw!

Flekken saved the day for Brentford when Nelson made a quick run into the box and fired off a shot. The Brentford goalkeeper leaped to his right and successfully stopped a solid attempt from the Arsenal player on loan.

Brentford was starting to take charge of the match when Fulham countered quickly and posed a threat to the goal for the first time this evening.

We've just seen an early glimpse of Fulham and Raul Jiminez in action. The forward took a hurried shot from the edge of the box following some impressive interplay between Pereira and Smith Rowe.

The Mexican player has been performing exceptionally well this season, having scored four goals in the league to date.

We're only moments away from the start of the match at Craven Cottage. Before it begins, everyone in the stadium will take a minute to remember those who have served, in honor of Remembrance Day coming up next week.

"Are The Visitors Playing Mind Games?"

Brentford's practice of working on defensive set-pieces before the match has led some to speculate that they are attempting to distract or unsettle their rivals. But what would be the reason behind that?

In all seriousness, the Bees are the only team in the Premier League that hasn’t let in a goal from a defensive set piece. Everything else they're doing appears to be successful, so I have no reason to doubt their approach.

Cheers For The Former Fulham Talent!

Even though Fabio Carvalho graduated from the Fulham academy and played two seasons with the first team, it wasn't enough to prevent him from facing boos tonight.

Dom Hogan, our reporter at Craven Cottage, informed me that the attacking midfielder, who transferred from Liverpool to Gtech Community Stadium during the summer, received a negative reaction from the home fans when they announced his name over the loudspeaker.

Bees Planning Another Early Attack

This season, Brentford games have seen an average of four goals scored. Let's hope this trend stays strong!

The Deadliest Strikers In The Premier League

Check this out: Mbeumo isn't just scoring a lot of goals; he's also leading in conversion rates. His impressive 38.1 percent conversion rate is on par with the in-form Nottingham Forest forward Chris Wood. Following them are Nicolas Jackson and Mohamed Salah, while Erling Haaland finds himself lower on the list with a conversion rate of 22.9 percent.

Warm-ups Begin At Craven Cottage

The players are on the field preparing for tonight's match. The game is set to start in about 30 minutes in west London.

"Nelson Shines As A Top Talent At Arsenal"

By Dominic Hogan at Craven Cottage

A Big Night For Nelson: Celebration Time!

The Arsenal winger, currently on loan, is set to make his first starting appearance of the season for Fulham in the Premier League. He joined the team on deadline day, so it's reasonable that he's taken some time to settle in.

After successfully getting Adama Traore out of the way, he'll be eager to retain his position.

Attention FPL Fans!

Do you happen to be one of the fortunate people who own Mbeumo? I'm not, and that might explain why I'm struggling this season.

Bees Have Taken Over The Building

Check out this video of the Bees arriving at Craven Cottage earlier. I'm a huge fan of their stylish track jackets!

Frank: "I'd Rather Win 4-3. We're Here For Fun!"

Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford, spoke with Sky Sports.

Fulham and Brentford are only one point apart as they approach tonight's game. If Fulham wins, they could move up to ninth place, while a solid win for Brentford could allow them to overtake Brighton and take the eighth spot.

Naturally, it was former Fulham forward Mitrovic who netted the decisive goal for the Cottagers in their sole victory against today's rivals in the last nine encounters.

The club searched for a long time to find someone who could take his place, and it seems that Jiminez is finally ready to take on that challenge.

Silva: 'Jimenez's Comeback Is Great For The Premier League'

Marco Silva, the manager of Fulham, discussed with Sky Sports...

Breaking: Brentford Team News - Bees Remain Unchanged

Thomas Frank trusts the squad that pulled off an exciting 4-3 victory against Ipswich in their previous match. Wissa and Mbeumo will take the forefront, looking to carry on their success in finding the back of the net.

Fulham Team Update: Silva Makes Two Changes

Reiss Nelson takes the position on the wing instead of Adama Traore, and Andersen comes back to replace Diop following his suspension. These are the only two adjustments Silva has made to the team that played to a 1-1 draw against Everton in their last match.

Cottagers' Struggles Against The Bees

Fulham has managed to secure only one victory in their last nine league matches against Brentford, and that lone win occurred during their initial encounter in the Premier League back in 2022.

Do you recall the forward who netted the decisive goal?

Silva: 'Both Sides Share Similarities'

Marco Silva, the manager of Fulham, spoke before the match:

Frank: "It Adds A Dash Of Excitement"

Pre-match comments from Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford:

Can Fulham Halt The In-Form Player?

This season, only Erling Haaland has netted more goals in the Premier League than Bryan Mbeumo. The forward has seized the chance to prove he’s the key player for Brentford since Ivan Toney left the club in the summer.

Did anyone anticipate the Bees would perform so well after losing their key player? I definitely didn’t see that coming. Mbeumo is hoping to increase his total of eight league goals this evening.
