Yellow fog warning in place over Greater Manchester
This week, there will be a fog warning issued, and the Met Office recommends that drivers exercise caution because of limited visibility. The yellow alert will be active on Thursday, starting at 12:15 AM and lasting until 10 AM.
Drivers in many areas of western England, from the south coast to Blackpool, including Greater Manchester, are being urged to exercise caution on the roads.
The Met Office has urged everyone to set aside extra time for their travels, as the weather could lead to hold-ups. They also mentioned that public transportation, such as trains and buses, might face delays, and some flights could potentially be cancelled.

In an advisory shared on their website, the Met Office stated: "Areas of fog will increase overnight, leading to challenging driving conditions in some areas by Thursday morning."
There was a notice about potential "longer travel times, along with possible interruptions to bus and train services." They also mentioned that there might be "a likelihood of delays or cancellations for flights."
The Met Office provided further information on the weather predictions, stating that areas of fog are expected to develop overnight and become more prevalent as time goes on, leading to visibility dropping to under 100 meters in certain locations.
