Three teams from the seventh tier—Kettering Town, Gainsborough Trinity, and Harborough Town—made it through after securing victories on Saturday.
Kettering, the top team in the Southern League Premier Central, pulled off a surprising upset by defeating League One team Northampton 2-1 in extra time—this was the biggest shock of the weekend. League One leaders Birmingham advanced after overcoming Sutton United, but Wrexham's chances for a fairytale FA Cup journey came to an end with their defeat against Harrogate Town. Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon secured their place in the next round by winning 2-0 against their fierce rivals, MK Dons.
