George Russell secured the top spot in qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix with his Mercedes, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton struggled and ended up in 10th place.

While Russell narrowly edged out Ferrari's Carlos Sainz by just 0.098 seconds to secure the top position in Las Vegas, Hamilton was left regretting two errors that placed him far from the front of the pack.

Pierre Gasly claimed an unexpected third place for Alpine, finishing just ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Lando Norris needs to earn at least three points more than Max Verstappen to keep the championship fight alive until the second-to-last race in Qatar. However, the British racer will begin the race in sixth position, just behind the Dutch driver.
