Everton might choose to make Abdoulaye Doucoure's contract last longer even though it will end after next season, as reported by the player himself.

On Saturday afternoon, Everton marked a successful goodbye at Goodison Park by claiming a 1-0 win against Sheffield United, who were already relegated. Doucoure scored the only goal of the game by heading in a cross from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, which helped his team earn three valuable points.

The Blues entered the match with a good record of 13 points out of a possible 18, following four successive victories at home without letting in a goal. This impressive run of form was instrumental in ensuring the team's spot in the top division for next season.

Joe Thomas recently wrote about a potential Everton takeover at Goodison Park on his blog. According to him, 777 Partners may have just revealed their intentions by giving away some key information.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's future at Everton might be uncertain after several of the club's players bid farewell to their Goodison Park home. Rewritten: A number of Everton players have said their final goodbyes at Goodison Park, which suggests that the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the club is up in the air.

Looking ahead to the next season, there are a few players whose contracts will come to an end by the close of the current season. These players include Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye, Ashley Young, Dele and Seamus Coleman. Additionally, the loans of Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma will also wrap up.

Furthermore, Calvert-Lewin, Doucoure, and Ben Godfrey are among the other players with only one more year left on their current contracts. Nevertheless, Everton have the possibility to stretch out the Mali player's agreement.

I'm feeling quite content with the situation," Doucoure expressed. "The club has the choice to renew my contract for another season, so there's no need for me to worry."

I inked a fresh contract (the previous summer) hence I opine my condition is not the main concern at the moment. I am exceedingly confident and stable in this place.

Sean Dyche, the head coach of the Blues, was recognized as the Premier League's finest coach in April due to his remarkable streak of successes and match showings. Since Carlo Ancelotti was honoured in September 2020, the 52-year-old became the first Everton coach to win the award.

When asked about Dyche, Doucoure stated that he has been doing a fantastic job managing his staff. Additionally, Dyche's team has been performing exceptionally well.

"Their attention remains fixed on the football aspect, keeping our team centered. One can observe that we have achieved victory in five consecutive home games, thus we are delightfully satisfied."

Jordan Pickford earned his 13th clean sheet of the season during Saturday's victory against the Blades. The only player who has achieved more shutouts this season is David Raya from Arsenal.

Doucoure acknowledges that although achieving success requires a collective effort, there were instances in this season when the English player single-handedly rescued his team.

He mentioned that Jordan has played a significant role in the team. Not only the defence, but the whole team contributes to the success, especially the No. 9 players like Dominic, Beto, or Youssef (Chermiti) when they start the game.

We work hard to defend against their high pressing tactics. It's clear that Jordan is the top goalkeeper for England because he has rescued us in multiple games.

I'm thrilled that he has managed to keep the goal clean on multiple occasions. It's a pleasure to have him as part of our team.

Around this same time last year, Doucoure scored an amazing goal in the presence of the Sir Philip Carter Park End during the last game of the season against Bournemouth. This goal aided in maintaining the club's position in the top league. However, this time around, the atmosphere inside Goodison was not the same as the previous year. The Blues were already secure, and the mood was entirely different.

Doucoure looked back on the previous season and acknowledged that this one is significantly distinct. He expressed his delight in playing the game with more liberation. He believes that they relished the experience and are content with the victory.
