British winner takes £177m EuroMillions lottery jackpot
A ticket-holder in the UK has made history by becoming the third largest winner in National Lottery history, having claimed a jackpot of £177 million.
An individual with a single ticket, who wishes to stay unnamed, stepped forward to collect the EuroMillions jackpot following the draw on Tuesday, November 26.
Allwyn, the operator of the National Lottery, announced on Tuesday that it has awarded £177,033,699.20 to the lucky winner.
The winner's net worth has surpassed that of Dua Lipa, estimated at £104 million, and Michael Bublé, who is valued at about £63 million.
Andy Carter, a lead advisor for winners at Allwyn, expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled that this transformative EuroMillions jackpot has been awarded.”
The opportunities that come with this amount of money are limitless, and what a perfect moment to receive such a reward, just in time for Christmas! This could definitely make the holiday season unforgettable—maybe by escaping to a sunny destination or enjoying a festive shopping experience in New York for the celebration.
“Regardless of how the winner chooses to use their prize money, our primary goal is to assist the ticket holder throughout the entire process, enabling them to begin enjoying their win as quickly as possible.”
On July 19, 2022, a ticket holder from the UK, who chose to remain anonymous, won a staggering EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million.
The most recent winner is in second place behind Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester, who set a new record by winning £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket in the draw on May 10, 2022.
