Improvement of Privacy by MetaMask through Upgrades of Mobile DApp and Browser Extension

Metamask has released a fresh software update for its mobile application and browser add-on that addresses the privacy concerns that people face when utilizing the trendy digital currency purse.

According to a statement, Metamask has announced that the latest MetaMask mobile version enables users to select which account from their wallet they wish to link to a decentralized application (DApp).

Before, all the accounts in the wallet were connected to DApp automatically once the user connected. With the new update to the Metamask user interface, they now have the option to easily switch between the wallet and browser with just one tap on their mobile app. This update provides more transparency and control when selecting which accounts should be linked or unlinked from specific applications.

Each account and DApp link is managed individually in different browser tabs and can be disconnected effortlessly from its respective tab, even if you open new ones.

The improved web browser add-on provides individuals with a better ability to oversee their information and restrict the amount that is shared with third-party providers. The more sophisticated setup choices now allow the option to turn off specific functions which transfer data to third-party application programming interfaces.

By default, these options are activated to enhance your experience, but you can disable them at your discretion. The options include receiving incoming transactions, detecting potential phishing attempts, and selecting a custom network.
