Great news! Raf Nicholson's match report has arrived:

That wraps things up for us! Thanks to everyone for joining me; take care!

And simply enjoy life for your pleasure:

England has been eliminated from the tournament based on net run rate. They, along with the West Indies and South Africa, all ended with six points. The deciding factor was the net run rates: England's was 1.091, while South Africa's was 1.382 and the West Indies had 1.536.

Matthews believes her team has likely caught some people off guard, especially highlighting Joseph's impressive batting. However, they haven't secured any victories yet, so they plan to take a break tomorrow before preparing for the semifinals.

She believes her team has room for growth, but they delivered an almost flawless performance. They've been gaining momentum in recent games, and she achieved precisely what she aimed for during her 100th T20 international match.

Knight feels disappointed but gives credit to the West Indies for their strong performance. She believes England's score was close to being solid, but they missed the mark with their bowling. Once again, she acknowledges the skills of her rivals. While she isn’t severely injured, she knows she will definitely be feeling the pain later on.

In addition to Knight's injury, England may ponder how the game could have turned out if Dunkley had successfully caught Joseph in the second over. However, the West Indies outperformed England in all areas, so it's difficult to pinpoint just one or two factors as pivotal.

Australia vs. South Africa (Thursday, October 17, at 3 PM BST)

West Indies will take on New Zealand on Friday, October 18, at 3 PM BST.

Qiana Joseph was awarded the player of the match and celebrated by performinga dance, playfully slapping her thighs and twirling around. Her captain advised her to "back herself," which is solid advice for anyone in any circumstance. And that’s exactly what she did. She had confidence in her abilities, ensured she made good contact with the ball, and felt ecstatic about her performance, expressing gratitude to Jesus and her teammates for their encouragement. I believe she has even more potential to improve her batting skills.

They know how to celebrate, cheering loudly, jumping around, and embracing each other, while Heather Knight wipes away tears. She must feel so let down about her injury. While I can't say that was the moment everything changed due to the strong performance of the West Indies, it's possible that if she had remained on the field, the outcome could have been quite different.

When the teams took the field, we mentioned that the West Indies seemed fully prepared, and wow, they really were! Their bowling was impressive, and their fielding was exceptional, highlighted by Dottin's outstanding performance—three catches and a run-out, almost as if it were the plot of a new Jerome K. Jerome book. They also batted with incredible energy and enthusiasm.

West Indies Triumph Over England, Reach WT20 Semis!

18th over: West Indies 140-4 (Henry 0, Alleyne 8 ) Target 142 What a sight! Alleyne sends her first ball sailing through the cover region… and does it again with her fourth! A truly phenomenal display, showcasing excellence in every way. Unfortunately for England, they were simply not up to par.

WICKET! Dottin Out For 27, WI 136-4

No way, right? Well, actually no. Dottin tries to overtake Ecclestone but veers off too far. She hears the commotion and decides to take off. The West Indies now need six runs from 16 balls.

WICKET! Campbelle Run Out For 3

Finally, we saw some good fielding: Capsey made a clever play at point with a quick throw, and Jones was impressive behind the wickets.

17th over: West Indies 136-2 (Campbelle 5, Dottin 27) Target 142. Sciver-Brunt returns to bowl, though it doesn’t have much impact on the outcome. Her first three deliveries result in a one, a two, a wide, and a three, quickly boosting the scoring rate. When Campbelle hits the ball back towards her, it deflects toward Bouchier, who is having a tough day; she misses her chance to make the catch. What a day it has been for her. On the next ball, needing only six runs to win, Dottin aims for a quick single. This time the throw from Capsey is accurate, and Jones breaks the stumps. It looks like Dottin is out, but we'll have to check with the technology...

16th over: West Indies 128-2 (Campbelle 3, Dottin 22) Target 142. Dean takes over from Glenn and starts with two dots, slightly increasing the pressure. Dottin, being the star player she is, shifts back and places a full toss effortlessly for four runs through square leg, then drops to one knee and astonishingly sends the ball soaring for six over midwicket! What an incredible performance she’s delivering—this may just squash England’s chances! AND SHE’S CRUSHED THEM NOW! What an unbelievable shot! She bends low to connect with the ball, falling back and almost parallel to the ground by the time she sends it soaring for six over midwicket! That's 16 runs off the over, with just 14 needed from 24 balls to win! The West Indies have launched an aggressive and strategic attack, showcasing their power and fearlessness, leaving England struggling.

15th over: West Indies 112-2 (Campbelle 3, Dottin 6) Target 142. Bell is back with two new players at the crease and really needs to get at least one of them out—though a maiden over would be welcome too. The first couple of deliveries result in singles, but the tension is rising as Campbelle tries for a quick single that isn’t available... and Bouchier's throw misses. I have a feeling she may face a tough time ahead; let’s hope her teammates can support her. Two more singles come through, and we catch glimpses of the South Africans celebrating their advancement before a dot ball completes the over, leaving the West Indies needing 30 runs from 30 balls to reach the semifinals.

14th over: West Indies 108-2 (Campbelle 1, Dottin 4) Target 142 One thing is certain: Dottin isn't going to be intimidated by the pressure. After taking a couple of deliveries to get comfortable, she powers a boundary over extra cover, which are the only runs scored in this over. The West Indies now need 34 runs from 36 balls.

WICKET! Matthews Falls For 50

England is on a roll with their catches! It's becoming quite a trend! Matthews tries to hit a pull shot but doesn’t connect fully, resulting in Gibson sprinting in from long on to grab the catch. She dives to her knees to make a solid catch, giving her team a glimmer of hope…

13th over: West Indies 104-1 (Matthews 50, Campbelle 1) Target is 142. Glenn comes back into the bowling lineup...

13th over: West Indies 104-1 (Matthews 50, Campbelle 1) Target 142 Campbelle scores her first run right away, and then Matthews angles the bat to collect a single to fine leg—she's reached her half-century! Great job, captain! The West Indies now require 38 runs from 42 deliveries.

WICKET! Wyatt Out For 52, West Indies 102-1

What on earth is happening! England actually has a shot! Joseph goes for a big hit again, but this time it's Wyatt who's ready at the boundary. She makes a fantastic, bold play to catch the ball.

13th over: West Indies 102-0 (Matthews 49, Joseph 52) Target 142 Oh Maia, this is tough to see. Sciver-Brunt returns to bowl, and Joseph swings fiercely again. Bouchier is stationed at long-off, and the ball is coming right at her, just at face height – it should have been an easy catch, but she misses it for the third time. You can see her shame and frustration written all over her face – we’ve all felt that mix of embarrassment and anger at some point. Sports can really be challenging.

12th over: West Indies 102-0 (Matthews 49, Joseph 52) Target 142. Matthews lays down for a moment, dealing with cramp, but it doesn't matter much. When Ecclestone comes back to bowl, she manages to hit a single by nudging the ball down the ground. Joseph then attempts to hit it to long on – not quite what she aimed for, but her strength allows her to send it away even with a mishit, and they take another run. Matthews then plays a shot that lightly taps the ball, and although it goes up in the air, it falls short again. They add two more singles to finish the over, leaving the West Indies needing 40 runs off 48 balls.

11th over: West Indies 98-0 (Matthews 47, Joseph 50) Target 142 Towards the conclusion of England's innings, Dan Norcross pondered whether the team had set too high or too low a target, suggesting that the West Indies would either perform exceptionally well and secure an easy win or struggle significantly and suffer a heavy defeat, rather than providing a competitive match. That's precisely what is unfolding: instead of letting the England spinners have their way, the West Indies batters have attacked right from the start. As I speak, Matthews steps back in her crease and powerfully drives Glenn’s second delivery through the point region for four runs! After that, she adds a couple of runs and a single, then finds another single through cover, allowing Joseph, who is now on 49 not out, to bring up a commendable and courageous half-century—her first in T20 internationals for the West Indies. We mentioned earlier that in such situations, it's often an unexpected player who makes a difference rather than a star performer. Here, we see both, and it’s absolutely remarkable.

10th over: West Indies 89-0 (Matthews 39, Joseph 49) Target 142 Dean is back to bowl, and after a dot ball, she delivers a low ball aimed at Joseph’s feet. He takes a big swing and sends the ball flying towards Bouchier on the midwicket boundary… but once again, she can't catch it. This catch was significantly tougher than the one she missed earlier; the ball came in faster and higher. However, she won’t take comfort in the fact that she only managed to tip it over the boundary for six runs. It’s been a rough day for her, and it might take some time for her to shake this off. A single is scored on the last ball, and at the midway point, the West Indies need to chase down 53 runs with 60 balls remaining. This means they need to score at a rate of five runs per over.

9th Over: West Indies 81-0 (Matthews 38, Joseph 42) Target: 142 England brings Bell back into the attack. Joseph attacks her first ball, aiming for her legs, but ends up slicing it, with the ball just falling short of a fielder at deep backward square. Although her shots haven't always been technically sound, the sheer enthusiasm she displays makes it exciting to watch. After that, a leg-side wide adds to the pressure, but Bell manages to stay composed, allowing just two singles from the other four balls of the over.

8th over: West Indies 77-0 (Matthews 37, Joseph 40) Target 142 Sarah Glenn comes in to bowl, and if England can keep the runs down a bit – not easy with a required rate of 5.60 – it could increase the pressure. She starts with two singles, but then Joseph swings wildly and misses. No worries: Glenn tries again, and this time Joseph connects, sending the ball as Bouchier rushes to the boundary and dives for the catch, only for the ball to slip right through her fingers. It's really been a dismal showing from England, but credit to the West Indies, who have maintained pressure from the very beginning of the match and have been aggressive since they started batting.

7th over: West Indies 70-0 (Matthews 36, Joseph 34) Target 142 The West Indies now require 75 runs off 84 balls, and it's hard to imagine them losing this match. They have accumulated enough runs that even with 20 overs left, they are almost certain to reach their target, making it very unlikely for England to dismiss them in under 14 overs. However, Ecclestone has improved this over; after an expensive first over where she conceded eight runs, she only gave away three singles this time.

6th over: West Indies 67-0 (Matthews 35, Joseph 32) Target 142 Dean is back, and England must be regretting their captain's injury. If Knight were at the crease next to Sciver-Brunt, England likely would have achieved a higher score. However, that doesn't excuse the way they lost some wickets and the weakness of their bowling attack. Meanwhile, Matthews takes advantage of a poor delivery, smashing a boundary over square-leg. After that, she catches another short ball and powerfully drives it for four more over mid-off. She caps off the powerplay with another four, effortlessly sending it off her pads and over square-leg. The West Indies are putting on a ruthless display, handling England’s bowling with ease and showing no mercy!

5th over: West Indies 55-0 (Matthews 23, Joseph 32) Target 142 Sciver-Brunt returns to bowl, and her first delivery only brings in one run as Matthews taps the ball to midwicket. However, the next ball is way too wide, and Joseph drives it effortlessly over to the off-side for a boundary! OH MY GOODNESS! When she tries again, she sends the ball high into the sky… and after a long wait, Capsey drops an easy catch! It seems like today is definitely in favor of the West Indies! England is struggling, and after another single, Matthews joins in again, hitting a short ball for another four to fine leg! This is turning into a real thrashing… can England turn things around?

4th over: West Indies 44-0 (Matthews 17, Joseph 27) Target 142 Here comes Ecclestone, and Joseph, who is in excellent form today, gets a top-edge on a sweep shot. The ball falls short again, this time in front of Bell at fine leg. What a moment! We mentioned that a standout performance could change the game, and Joseph seems to be the one making it happen! First, she drives one through square leg for four runs, then crushes another for four more over the top! Her batting may lack some finesse, but her eye for the ball is remarkable. When you combine that with her strength, it’s easy to see why she’s a real threat to England's chances. No runs are scored from the rest of the over, but with two boundaries in the first three balls, it hardly matters.

3rd over: West Indies 36-0 (Matthews 17, Joseph 19) Target 142. Sciver-Brunt has seen enough and brings in Charlie Dean's off-spin, which quickly proves to be a smart move. First, Matthews misses a wild swing, and then just avoids being caught by Gibson after a short delivery to long-on! BUT LOOK AT THIS! Joseph crouches low, sweeps the ball, and sends it soaring for six over the long midwicket boundary! England managed just one six in their innings, while the Windies have already hit two in just 15 balls! Dean recovers a bit, as her last three balls only give away three singles, but the over still costs 10 runs and England desperately needs a wicket since these two batters are on fire. It’s definitely time to bring on Ecclestone.

2nd over: West Indies 26-0 (Matthews 15, Joseph 11) Target 142 Sciver-Brunt starts to bowl from the other end, and when she delivers a wide ball right away, Joseph swings aggressively, earning a thick edge that races to the boundary at third man for four runs. Wow, the West Indies are really going for it! It’s a smart strategy to capitalize during the powerplay before the spinners come into play. After Joseph attempts a similar shot and manages another edge that safely lands for two runs, she decides to go big, launching the ball high toward midwicket. Dunkley runs after it but misjudges the catch, reaching out too late and too far away, letting the ball slip right past her! West Indies have already scored 10 runs from the first three balls of the over, and they continue to dominate as Joseph clears her front pad and sends the ball just over backward point for a single, followed by another run. This over is slipping away from England, with a total of twelve runs scored!

1st over: West Indies 14-0 (Matthews 14, Joseph 0) Target 142 Just to note, Dunkley is now in for Knight in the field. Back to the action, Bell manages to beat Matthews outside off with her first and third deliveries. However, Matthews takes the second delivery and sends it cruising over long leg for six, then taps the fourth ball to the same region for four! Both of those boundary balls seemed to have been aimed at her pads, but the West Indies captain isn't letting those opportunities go. Look at that! Given a full toss, she strides down the pitch and smashes it over long off! What a fantastic start! Fourteen runs off the over and England are already feeling the heat.

Bell is in possession of the ball, and Matthews is ready to challenge him. Let's get started!

The teams are ready, with Sciver-Brunt leading England. While she is an impressive player, they will undoubtedly feel the absence of Knight's guidance.
