King hosts state banquet for Emir of Qatar with Beckhams attending- live
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his first wife, Sheikha Jawaher, were welcomed by the royal couple and King Charles during a grand and elaborate ceremony held in Whitehall.
Queen Camilla was notably absent, as she had to withdraw from the official outdoor welcome at Horse Guards Parade and the carriage ride to Buckingham Palace on Monday evening. This was due to the ongoing effects of a recent viral chest infection.
Camilla would be meeting up with the royal gathering later for a private lunch with the Emir and his spouse. She is also set to attend nearly all parts of the evening state banquet at Buckingham Palace, which is being held in tribute to the Emir, except for one aspect.
William and Kate attended the ceremony at Horse Guards Parade, marking one of Kate's rare official outings this year as she has been successfully undergoing treatment for cancer.
In the evening, the King, along with other members of the Royal Family, held a State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in honor of the Sheikh and his spouse.

David And Victoria Beckham Attend Qatari Banquet
Famous couple David and Victoria Beckham made their debut at a state banquet in Buckingham Palace, where they joined the King and Queen for a glamorous event celebrating the ruler of Qatar.
The former England captain and ex-Spice Girl who has become a fashion designer, known as "Posh and Becks," were part of the 170 attendees at the Palace ballroom on Tuesday night.
Beckham received an invitation due to his strong ties with Qatar, where he served as a paid ambassador during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, earning an estimated £10 million in the process.
However, he received strong backlash for the association due to Qatar's laws that punish same-sex relationships.
David Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria, will enjoy a meal that includes Windsor pheasant, Cornish lobsters, and a delectable Balmoral plum sorbet. They will be among notable guests, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the Prince of Wales.

Kate has slowly started to take on her royal responsibilities again after sharing in September that she had finished her chemotherapy. Her main priority now is to focus on staying cancer-free.
It is anticipated that the Queen will be present as well.
