Eminem has announced that his daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, is going to have her first baby.
In a fresh music video for his track “Temporary,” the 51-year-old rapper showcased moments of him accompanying his 28-year-old daughter down the wedding aisle, alongside a heartfelt scene where she shared her pregnancy news. She caught him off guard with the joyful announcement by presenting him with a Detroit Lions jersey that had “Grandpa” printed on the back, along with an ultrasound image of her unborn baby.
The video showed Eminem, whose actual name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, looking stunned by the ultrasound picture, taking in the news while his daughter laughed next to him.
Not only is this the first grandchild for the 15-time Grammy winner, but it's also Hailie and her husband Evan McClintock's first child together. The couple tied the knot in May after dating happily since 2016. They got engaged in February 2023, and Hailie shared the news on Instagram with a photo of Evan proposing, captioning it: "Just a casual weekend recap… 2.4.23 I love you @evanmcclintock11."
As reported by TMZ, Scott and McClintock got married in a small ceremony at the Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan, surrounded by their close friends and family who witnessed their vows. The event was notable for its celebrity presence, featuring many of Eminem’s regular collaborators, such as Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, and Jimmy Iovine.
“Hailie shared a post with photos from the celebration, captioning it, ‘This week, we celebrated a wonderful wife!’ She expressed how the weekend was truly perfect and beautiful, filled with countless joyful tears, laughter, and heartfelt moments of love.”
Eminem has announced that he will soon be a grandfather. He shared a video of his daughter surprising him with the exciting news that she is expecting her first baby.
"Evan and I are truly thankful for all the family and friends who came to support us and share in this exciting new journey as a married couple," she expressed.
The 28-year-old host of the Just A Little Shady podcast first crossed paths with McClintock during her time at Michigan State University in 2016, where she was pursuing a degree in psychology. While Scott juggles her responsibilities as a podcaster and influencer, her newlywed husband works as an executive in enterprise growth.
Throughout the years, Scott has inspired a significant amount of the chart-topping rapper's music, being mentioned more than twenty times in his lyrics. The rapper’s eldest child is also depicted in one of his most prominent tattoos, which showcases her childhood face on his upper arm.
Eminem became a father in 1995 when his daughter was born to his ex-wife, Kimberly Anne Scott. The two, who had originally met in high school, tied the knot in 1999 but separated just two years later in 2001. They gave their relationship another shot by remarrying in January 2006, but Eminem ended up filing for divorce just a few months later in April.
