Taylor Swift took home the most awards at the MTV European Music Awards that took place in Manchester on Sunday evening.

The artist behind "Blank Space," who is 34 years old, wasn't present at the glamorous event but still walked away with four awards.

Taylor, who is set to kick off the final segment of her record-setting Eras Tour in Canada, took home awards for Best Artist and Best Live Artist.

The award for Best Video was given to Taylor featuring Post Malone for their popular song "Fortnight" from her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Additionally, the title of Best US Act was awarded to the American artist as well.

Taylor was unable to attend the awards ceremony in the UK because she was at her boyfriend Travis Kelce's football game. He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, who were facing off against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.

On Sunday night, Taylor Swift accepted the Best Video award at the MTV EMAs through a video link, marking one of four awards she took home that evening.

Taylor ruled the winner's chart at the MTV European Music Awards that took place at Co-Op Live in Manchester.

Taylor was unable to attend the awards ceremony in the UK because she was at Arrowhead Stadium supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as he played in a football game with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, against the Denver Broncos.

Receiving her awards through a video link, she expressed, "Hi everyone, it's Taylor. I'm here during the Eras Tour. I'm really disappointed that I can't be there with you tonight, but I'm truly grateful for these wonderful awards."

In another part of the event, Tyla, who gave a performance that evening, took home three awards: Best RnB, Best Afrobeats, and Best African Act.

The 22-year-old artist launched her first album, which shares her name, earlier this year, and she recently achieved even more recognition by winning two additional awards in Manchester.

Other well-known winners included Ariana Grande, who took home the award for Best Pop, and Eminem, who received the honor for Best Hip-Hop.

In the meantime, Liam Gallagher, a native of Manchester, received the award for Best Rock.

In another category, the award for Best Song went to Sabrina Carpenter for her popular track "Espresso," which is featured on her album "Short n' Sweet."

Raye took home the award for Best UK Act, while Ariana Grande won Best Pop, although she was not present at the event.

Eminem took home the award for Best Hip-Hop, and Calvin Harris won the Best Electronic award.

Jimin took home the award for Best K-Pop, while Peso Pluma secured the title for Best Latin Group, and Liam Gallagher emerged as the winner for Best Rock Act.

Eventually, the Best Alternative award was presented to the American pop rock group Imagine Dragons.

The award for Best Collaboration was presented to LISA featuring Rosalía for their successful track, "NEW WOMAN."

Sabrina Carpenter expressed her gratitude to her fans for the incredible support they've given her following her victory for Best Song at the event.

The 25-year-old pop singer was honored with an award for her hit song "Espresso," which is included in her album "Short n' Sweet." Sabrina expressed her gratitude to her fans for their backing and shared that she is thrilled about the song's success.

Sabrina, who is currently on her Short n' Sweet Tour, shared in a video message: "Hello, EMAs! It's Sabrina, and I just learned that I've won Best Song this year at the EMAs. This is my very first victory!"

Busta Rhymes expressed his gratitude to LL Cool J and his mom while accepting the Global Icon award. He shared his excitement about winning the Icon accolade after "34 years in the music industry."

While addressing the audience at Co-op Live in Manchester, Busta, 52, mentioned, "This is my first time here. I've never received an award from MTV until now."

"After thirty-four years in the recording industry, this is my first time receiving an award from MTV. It feels absolutely amazing."

During his acceptance speech, Busta expressed his gratitude to his mother, whom he referred to as his closest friend, as well as to fellow rap legend LL Cool J.

In another category, the award for Best Song was presented to Sabrina Carpenter for her popular track "Espresso," which is featured on her album "Short n' Sweet."

Tyla, who also took the stage at the event, won the awards for Best R&B and Best Afrobeats.

The South African artist took home trophies for Best Afrobeats, Best R&B, and Best African Act at the yearly awards event.

The Best New Artist award was presented to Benson Boone, who kicked off the event with a performance of his popular songs.

The artist behind "Touch It" revealed that LL, who is 56 and was also present at the Manchester event, motivated him to follow a path in rap music.

He expressed his admiration for his brother LL Cool J, saying, "I want to give a shout-out to LL Cool J. He was the one who inspired me and helped me dream big.”

Additionally, Busta mentioned that his group of rappers is set to lead the way and pioneer new paths for the genre.

The artist from New York made it clear that he has no intention of stepping away from the music industry anytime soon.

Busta, known for his role in the 1980s rap group Leaders of the New School before launching a successful solo career, expressed: "You can count on seeing me and my generation be the pioneers of rap, just like James Brown and Mick Jagger were for their music. I have no intention of slowing down."

Busta once referred to receiving the award as a way to honor and celebrate hip-hop culture.

The rapper, who showcased a collection of his tracks following the presentation of his award, expressed, "I am incredibly honored and thankful to accept the MTV EMA Global Icon Award."

"This honor isn’t just a milestone in my career; it also celebrates hip-hop culture as a whole. Being recognized on such a worldwide platform serves as a powerful reminder that hip-hop transcends limits—and so do I!"

Eminem accepted his Best Hip-Hop award virtually, and he even tried out a British accent while speaking to his fans.
