Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse, Portia de Rossi, are said to have put their Montecito home on the market and moved to the countryside in England after Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election.
The 66-year-old ex-TV host and her 51-year-old spouse have left the country and intend to "never come back" to the United States, according to information shared with The Wrap.
After 16 years together, the couple has relocated to the Cotswolds in South West England, according to reports. Their mansion in Montecito, located roughly 90 miles north of Los Angeles, has either been privately listed for sale or will be available on the market shortly.
According to TMZ, DeGeneres and De Rossi had bought their home in England prior to the election. However, they felt very disenchanted by his victory and made the choice to leave America for good.
The Independent has reached out to a spokesperson for DeGeneres to get a response.
The news of their decision quickly grabbed the attention of British broadcaster Piers Morgan, who humorously reacted by tweeting: “OMG... no!”
The news about the Finding Nemo star follows her departure from the entertainment industry. In 2022, the comedian had to conclude her long-running show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, after a Buzzfeed News investigation claimed she had created a toxic work environment.
DeGeneres later revealed that she plans to step away this August after completing the last performances of her "Ellen’s Last Stand… Up" tour. These shows were recorded for her upcoming Netflix special, titled For Your Approval.
Many other well-known figures, like America Ferrera, Sharon Stone, and Cher, have also shown a desire to move abroad if Trump is re-elected.
Ferrera, 40, known for her roles in "Ugly Betty" and "Superstore," was recently spotted visiting a private school in South West London that her children, six-year-old son Sebastian and four-year-old daughter Lucia, might enroll in.

Ferrera and her spouse, Ryan Piers Williams, who also stars in Barbie, are committed to moving to provide their children with the best possible opportunities, a source revealed to the Daily Mail earlier this month.
Stone had earlier promised to relocate outside the U.S. if Trump emerged victorious. In July, the 66-year-old actress of Basic Instinct mentioned to the Mail, “I’m definitely thinking about buying a place in Italy. I believe that’s a smart move right now. It’s one of the rare occasions in my life when I’ve witnessed someone campaigning with a message of hate and oppression.”
Since defeating Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has been handing out nominations for his cabinet positions to a range of “unqualified” and contentious individuals. So far, he has suggested Matt Gaetz — who has faced allegations of engaging in inappropriate relations with a minor — for the role of attorney general, former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence, and conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for health secretary.
