Elon Musk has put forward a conspiracy theory regarding comedian Ellen DeGeneres's choice to relocate to the UK with her wife.

The billionaire appointed to lead Donald Trump's newly established Department of Government Efficiency posted on Thursday, hinting that DeGeneres may have exited the United States "after the election" because of her previous connection with Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

A 2016 tweet from DeGeneres, which was posted on Twitter before it became known as X, led to unfounded theories circulating on the platform.

"Happy birthday to P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Sean Combs, or as I like to call him, Cuddle McSnugglestuff," DeGeneres wrote in her post. "No need to explain—@iamdiddy."

A user posted a screenshot of her message and remarked, "It's clear why she left the country after the election." Musk then shared it again, adding an emoji with raised eyebrows.

Combs was taken into custody in September on charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. Federal prosecutors claim that Combs and those in his circle intimidated, mistreated, and manipulated women and others to satisfy his sexual urges. This allegedly involved compelling victims to participate in recorded sexual acts that he called "Freak Offs."

Musk's message follows news that DeGeneres and her spouse, Portia de Rossi, have relocated to the UK. Despite speculation suggesting they made the move because of Trump's election win, the truth is they bought their home in the Cotswolds back in October, well ahead of Election Day.

A reliable insider revealed to The Daily Mail this week that DeGeneres and Rossi intended to relocate before the election, but they are relieved to be leaving following Trump's win.

"As events unfolded with Trump's victory, she feels relieved about her decision to leave the US," the insider remarked.

The Independent has reached out to DeGeneres’s spokesperson for a response.

The billionaire's message regarding DeGeneres followed a disagreement with Amazon's CEO, Jeff Bezos, on X.

Musk shared early Thursday morning that he discovered at Mar-a-Lago that Jeff Bezos was advising everyone that @realDonaldTrump was certain to lose, urging them to sell off all their Tesla and SpaceX shares.

Bezos responded immediately, saying, "No, that's completely false."

"Alright, I see your point," Musk replied, adding a laughing emoji.

Musk isn't the first person connected to Trump to make unfounded allegations about Combs.

Donald Trump Jr. had previously promoted a baseless conspiracy theory that claimed Combs had been arrested to persuade celebrities connected to him to support his father's rival, Kamala Harris.

“This month, Trump Jr. pointed out that we're witnessing an unusual rise in pay-for-play activities once more. He emphasized that none of it is genuine or organic; it’s all part of a paid influencer scheme. He added that even those celebrities who aren't directly receiving payment may be compensated in other ways, possibly because they are connected to notorious lists, like those associated with Epstein or Diddy.”

Trump Jr. did not provide any solid proof to back up his assertion or to connect any celebrities to Combs. Additionally, several celebrities who backed Harris had already been showing support for Biden and other Democratic candidates well before Combs was taken into custody.
