Situated in the Habsheim area, the solar facility spans 23 hectares and boasts a capacity of 30 MWp. It features approximately 53,000 solar panels and generates enough electricity to meet the needs of around 15,000 individuals, which is three times the size of the local population.

Jennifer MÉNAGÉ, the Director of the North and East Zone at EDF Renewables, expressed her excitement about the opening of the Habsheim solar power plant. She highlighted that this achievement stems from a strong partnership between the local community and EDF Renewables aimed at advancing renewable energy. The solar facility represents a significant step towards energy transformation in the Haut-Rhin area, utilizing previously unused land at the Mulhouse-Habsheim airfield to generate clean, low-carbon electricity.
