The former GMTV presenter and current GB News host is facing a return to real life and may be heading towards divorce, as Metro has indicated that his ex-partner, Ruth Langsford, has retained legal representation.

Holmes tied the knot with Langsford in 2010, and together they have a son named Jack.

On Monday, Holmes was seen at Heathrow Airport alongside Alexander and his newly acquired companion, a wheelchair.

The images revealed the health challenges that Holmes is still dealing with as he gets ready to come back as the main host of the breakfast show on GB News.

Holmes, who is 64 years old, has been struggling with health issues for a while now.

In 2016, he had a double hip replacement surgery that lasted over three hours, following years of enduring severe pain.

In 2021, his situation took a turn for the worse when he suffered a herniated three discs in his back, which affected his ability to move. Then, last year, his back surgery didn't go as planned, resulting in him having to rely on a wheelchair ever since.

Holmes has expressed his worry about potentially losing the ability to move again, but he has noticed some improvements lately.

"This allows me a degree of freedom, and my goal is to develop muscle memory, which I hope will lead to progress in the future," he stated.

He shrugged off any worries and said, “Catch you next week!”
